Vegetarianism- does it actually prevent relapse ?
I would ask people who had CABG or angioplasty long back, whether they followed veg diet or otherwise and did they find any difference ? Should I stop fish and lean meat altogether to prevent relapse of the heart disease(MI)?

Urgent question: low platelets
My husband Murray is in a very precarious state right now and I would sure appreciate your input. Just to summarize - he is 58, diagnosed 3 1/2 years ago but with symptoms for many years before that, 13q, 11q & trisomy 12, relapsed quickly after FCR, on ibrutinib for 9 months, scheduled for stem cell

RV Systolic dysfunction and Oxygen
My cardiologist sent me to a pulmonary specialist. I saw him yesterday, and when he heard that I take periodic breaks when walking we walked down the hall while he measured my blood oxygen. It turns out I need oxygen for exertion. Now I do testing to find out why. He is arranging for home oxygen.

Clicking sensation in Sternum post CABG
Hi All, I'm just over 4 weeks post triple bypass op. The recoverys going well. I'm walking 50 mins per day and the scars are healing nicely. I feel a kind of clicking sensation around the sternum area when I'm generally moving around (no accompanying pain though). Just wondered if anyone else has experienced

Couple of photos from Julie LVA treatment in Oxford done by Alex Ramsden and Dominic Furnis. xx
This was taken 2 days after my LVA surgery, I am now on day 5 and all good, feeling confident this has worked, I really hope so, I have my stocking on a toilet roll holder (not used I will add although I have put a plastic bag over the holder just in case, teehee) just to stretch it for when I put it

4 weeks post triple CABG
Hello everyone. Today I am 4 weeks post op. In some ways it feels like a lifetime ago and others just yesterday. Given everything my body has been through I cannot believe how well I feel and actually, at the risk of being too modest, how well I look. My BMI is 25 (something it hasn't been previously

Advice for my First Wide Excision
Hey everyone! I had a couple biopsies done a couple weeks ago, they both came back negative for melanoma *phew* but, they are both considered atypical. The one taken with the punch biopsy is all good and I won’t need to do anything with it at the moment, but the one taken with the shave biopsy is more

CABG and sudden pain
Hi All I'm 3 weeks post op and so far everything seems to be going well. However, today when I woke up I started to get some odd pain on the outer edge of my left armpit. Its highly transient, lasts barely a second each time but makes me wince a bit. Heart rate, BP, oxygenation levels all ok, no dizziness

Hello Health Unlocked community, Since this forum and community offered me a great amount of support and kindness during our last crisis I thought I would come back to it. Last time you heard from me/us was when my husband Mark began failing on Ibrutinib in Feb. 2017 and he was going to start Venetoclax
