I'm 3 weeks post op and so far everything seems to be going well. However, today when I woke up I started to get some odd pain on the outer edge of my left armpit. Its highly transient, lasts barely a second each time but makes me wince a bit. Heart rate, BP, oxygenation levels all ok, no dizziness etc. The pain just pulses and doesn't seem to start anywhere or travel anywhere. Anyone else experienced anything like this? Should I be concerned or is it just my body settling down still? I feel absolutely fine otherwise. I'm hoping someone can calm me down before I start hitting 111
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve, nothing else? No other symptoms? I'm thinking sounds like after effects if the op more than anything else, maybe nerve endings coming back to life
Absolutely no other symptoms at all. I feel fine otherwise and all the stats I can measure at home are absolutely on the money. I think you are probably right - it might be my body still readjusting after the assault (I have plenty of numb areas that need to come back to life at some point).
I had the same, but it was more numbness tingling sensation, this is nerve related. Don't forget you have been manhandled on the inside and so you will have internal bruising. I still have pins and needles in both my hands, but his apparently is a good sign of recovery. If all your stats look good sounds like you are doing OK.
Trust me steve I had a triple bypass done 22/06/2017 operation itself went well but had post operative recovery complete respiratory failure both lungs collapsed plus pneumonia was put back on a vent and had a tracheotomy done spent over a month in ITU now in November and I still get pain around the chest but been told can take up to 12 months to fully recovery and I am only 49 so 3 weeks is still early days mate you will get there all the best.
