Bone graft

The next operation was adding longer screws, another bone graft and this time a bone growth paste, in an effort to save my leg. Success! I sometimes wonder if the trauma and grafts, along with the paste, could have altered the bone marrow. Is trauma to the bone a possible trigger for CLL?

I am wondering if anyone has had this surgery,I need to have it carried out with an iliac crest bone graft and tendon transfer. I have exhausted all other avenues. If anyone has experience with this I would be interested to hear.

Lately, I had major dental surgery and bone grafting. Doctor asked me not to exercise for a few weeks. I stopped running, and what I experienced was unimaginable. After one and half week of stopping exercise I had following symptoms 1. Brain fog: out of blue I had brain fog issues. 2.

It’s quite advanced, locally, and I am about to have a very long surgery to removed a large amount of bone, tissue, skin and teeth. All of my top jaw will be removed, along with my teeth, and replaced with titanium. I will get a skin graft on my cheek from my arm.

This helpful doctor also suggested he could do this without having a skin graft the plastic surgeon told me was necessary (which to be taken from my insole).

Slipped on ICE in a parking lot, fully broke arm bone between elbow & shoulder.

The surgeon didn't think I needed any lymph nodes checked - thank goodness but suggested having the wider excision which would also require a skin graft from my instep and at least 2 weeks with my foot elevated.

I then had my bone density scan. Then back to the doctor for bloods as the result showed Osteoporosis secondary to Hyperthyroidism (the latter diagnosed in 2013 and was ignored) and as I was told by doctor..Your bloods look good !

But this very young oral surgeon from UCLA, says since I've been off the bisphosphonates for 5 + years, the surgery, bone graft, and an implant should be no problem. I'm currently tapering from 3.5 to 3.0 on my pred. I'm very nervous about all this.

definitely a v shaped pillow, and others supporting arms, and one under knees to stop you sliding down 🤣 you will only be able to sleep on your back for months. I had my CABG in November last year, and can only just sleep on my side now, but not always! Still revert to back sleeping in between! good

Hi my hubby had CABG X3 6 weeks ago. Fortunately our insurance covered it, as mine 9 mths waiting list. He's not heard anything re cardiac rehab. When would that normally start or will he not get referred as went private? He is walking ok, chest bones still very sore. In meantime found some rehab videos
