Who should receive a 3rd COVID-19 dose according to the CDC
I just received this email from Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts and it's another confirmation as to who is really immunocompromised. I hope this helps some members of this forum who are on higher doses of Pred. "Patient Update - Dear Tufts Medical Center and Tufts Children’s Hospital Community

Post Operative Aortic Valve replacement, single CABG. 2019. Week ago, TIA admission to A&E and ward for 24 hours. Support needed please?
Post Operative Aortic Valve and single CABG July 2019 . On July 28th 2021 I had TIA, out of the blue. Paramedics called, taken to A&E, all investigations carried out, then up to the stroke ward for 24 hours. Home but feeling really shocked, and anxious. Live on my own. Is there a support group for this

Is it possible to take a biopsy of a cardiac artery plaque in order to determine exactly what it contains?
Hi All I was found to have, via CT Angiogram, in July 16, a very high Calcium Agatston score of 1315. I then had CABG in Feb 17 at age 66. The day before I asked if it was possible to do a biopsy of a plaque, to help in identifying what they contained. They said it was not possible. Is this correct?

I've recently had lung function tests at hospital and apparently I have chronic childhood asthma! Is that causing all the pain and tight

Three and a half years with Mantle cell lymphoma
I got diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma in March 2018 when I was 61. As it had already spread from my lymph nodes to multiple organs I was immediately admitted to hospital and began six rounds of Nordic protocol chemotherapy, followed by a stem cell bone marrow transplant. After my transplant I had

CABG recovery - sleeping on side...
Hiya, I'm starting recovery week 7 after an elective triple bypass. Advised to sleep on back until sternum sorts itself out. Does anyone know when and how I can begin to rest on my side. Thanks

Advice needed on angiogram I have a 98% blocked and calcified left coronary artery. Lad is 97% blocked and 4 more vessels on left side77% blocked. Too dangerous to stent or cabg. Given medication. I feel like a time bomb. Does anyone have the same problem

Hi everyone, just found this site through the NHS app. Had cancer twice, had chemo plus stem cell transplant. I've been left with knee problems due to Lymphoma and have to use a stroller and wheelchair. The treatment I've had has led to a deep depression and anxiety as I no longer have my independence

Coming out of lockdown with a new scar and feeling nervous
I'm new here so this feels a bit scary! Last autumn I had a bad bike accident, I went flying and the pavement took a lot of the skin from around my eye. I was sent to the burns unit and came home with two skin grafts on my face. They are healing well, but some days are really hard and it still shocks

Husband Update
It seems like so long since I’ve updated, but it’s been only a few months. Husband is doing… ok. We’ve just received news that they've found a donor for his stem cell transplant and is scheduled to be admitted at the end of next month. It’s all become very, very real. The kids and I won’t be able

London to Birmingham canal walk
A year ago I discovered a brother I never knew existed. I was born in London in 1960 and Mike was born in Birmingham in 1946. We have met in between lockdowns! I have survived three heart attacks, I have been stented, had angioplasty and CABG. My partner Ruby and I felt it would be appropriate to walk

Introduction of myself, PMF, from China
Hi, I'm Qi, from China, I'm 34 years old this year. I confirmed PMF in 2017. At that time, the splenomegaly was high, but it was not very high, and it was not so high all the time. These symptoms began to happen to me one after another as early as 2013. JAK2V617F gene mutation, there is only one mutation

Hello
Hi everyone, I am Jim aged 61 and living on the Isle of Wight with Ruby, my long suffering partner.
