I frequented this great forum several years ago during my father's treatment for metastasized prostate cancer. Now my husband has been diagnosed with Stage 2 bladder cancer which originated in the bladder, and I can't find a forum for that. I do see mentions of bladder cancer here. Am I missing something, or is there simply no (MI)BC forum in Health Unlocked?
Thanks a lot,
Nancy

I have fighting prostate cancer since 2009. in 2022 i was diagnosed with bladder cancer not related to prostate cancer. I had a cystectomy in January 2023 . A recent PSMA pet scan identified an 8 mm nodule in my left lung. I had SBRT of the lung cancer and thankfully my PSA dropped to <.06 down from 1.06. I wish your husband the best.
I'm glad your treatment is working. I think we're looking at bladder and prostate removal here, according to a phone call from the urologist. But we'll know more after meeting him and the oncologist in 2 days.
Nancy, I forgot to mention that I had one year of Immunotherapy with OPDIVO after the Cystectomy to help prevent recurrence. The Dr didn't think I could handle chemo due to my age.
Thanks for mentioning that. Immunotherapy sounds like a good option to me, offhand. We talk to the oncologist and urologist tomorrow, so I guess we'll know better what we're looking at, afterward.
