Slow arrhythmia and Famotidine
I stated getting occasional arrhythmia attacks with A F about 15 years ago. I used Bisoprolol as a pill in pocket and took 2.5mg when needed. Recently I started getting occasional low B.P. And low pulse rate (45-50) but no symptoms finger oximeter always above 95 but I now get normal pulse rate arrhythmia

Sotalol v Bisoprolol
My GP recently decided to discontinue my beta-blocker from 2 x 2.5 bisoprolol and take 1 x 50mg sotalol instead. (This decision was following an ICD firing) I had been taking the bisoprolol for the last ten years and monitoring my BP with a cuff device, where my BP had always shown a borderline normal

Coming off Bisoprolol - anxiety or withdrawal?
Hello :-). I posted a few months ago about tapering off of Bisoprolol. my brief story, I'm 46 and female. ended up in hospital after SVT (first time I've ever had an episode) and put on Bisoprolol 1.25mg. I've since seen a cardiologist and had tests, 2 week holter, ECG, echo and all show normal

Do I need to be checked out
Hi I had an AF episode a week ago and then went into fast Sinus with a heart beat of 140. 6 days later I went into Kings for a routine endoscopy for my 3 yearly verecies check for my liver cirrhosis. My heart was still tackicardic. First they could not get the camera down my throat due to severe swallowing

Supraventricular tachycardia post ablation
Hi all, has anyone developed supraventricular tachycardia after ablation for PVCs? Can these make one very dizzy? Post procedure I have had several episodes recorded on the 5day holter. Before the procedure I didn't have these. I am 41yrs and take 2.5mg bisoprolol, 80mg telmisartan and 1.5mg indapamide

Driving
Is it ok to drive whilst on bisoprolol 5mg & flecainide 100mg? I drive a lot with work and am a little nervous after my latest arrhythmia episode 3 weeks ago.

To go to hospital or not?
This is my first post here and over the last few weeks I have found many of the post and responses really helpful in understanding my new new diagnoses of PAF and Type 2 diabetes. Four weeks ago I got knocked off my push bike on my way to work - this turned out to be a blessing in disguise as I was having

What is the difference between bisoprolol and verapamil?
Hi all, a week ago I finally got to see a cardiologist after many admissions to a+e spaced over 2 years. I informed him that I had stopped taking bisoprolol two weeks previously because it severely impacted my ability to exercise, which really got me down. While off the bisoprolol my exercise levels

I have mentioned it to the doctor before but they seem uninterested

Coming off medication
Hi all, well it’s 1 AM just woke up , heart thumping , headache, long gaps in between beats on Apple Watch , I feel really strange. It feels like it’s missing a beat but not sure, the Watch says 76 bpm and sinus rhythm. I’m guessing it’s something to do with halving the bisoprolol and flecainide. Any

Sliding into persistent Afib
Hello I am on Flecaine 200 ( slow release) and 3.75 Bisoprolol. I usually get episodes 1 or 2 times a month the longest lasting between 5 an7 hours which self resolve. However last Saturday/Sunday night at 2 in the morning I popped into Afib. This lasted until in 1 pm the next day. I was a bit wiped

Thumping, forceful beats: due to post-ablatiom or stopping Bisoprolol?
Hello lovely people. I feel pretty rubbish for even asking, since many people aren't as fortunate to have had an ablation and I feel ridiculous for even considering this could be an issue so soon after my ablation (4 days), but yet again, anxiety about my heart has induced a cry for help action.. So
