Please dont ignore Chest Pain and is GP system completely broken?
Saw GP twice last year with chest pain and advised it was muscular or gastric then on 21/1/22 went to AE with chest pain and angio found LAD 90% blocked. Got 1x stent fitted and started on 5 different medications inc Bisoprolol 2.5mg. Eventually got nurse to check bloods today(should have been done after

Cutting out Bisoprolol?
All, I currently take 2.5mg of Bisoprolol twice per day for paroxysmal Afib that typically occurs 1-2 times per week and is usually terminated by 100mg Flecainide PIP within 2-3 hours. Recently I have had some success with lifestyle changes in reducing the episodes (2 in last 30 days) and due to tiredness

Taking Bisoprolol in between pacemaker and AV node ablation
I had my pacemaker fitted on the 10th March and am still having episodes of AF and also more frequent episodes of tachycardia which I didn't have before. I have just spoken with my consultant who said it will be another one or two months before I have the AV node ablation. In the meantime he is prescribing

Post hospital stay
I am confused. I spent two days last week at the hospital after breathing difficulties and chest pain. I had left sided heart failure with preserved ejection fraction diagnosed in January this year. Heart attack was ruled out and pulmonary embolism suspected after a positive D dimer test but not confirmed

Very positive meeting with Rhythmologist
Hi Everyone As some of you may know I have been scratching my head about whether to have or not have an ablation. I went to see a Rhythmologist who was very communicative and reassuring. He is quite young and laid back in a nice way. I asked him how many ablations he did a year and his answer was

Cardiac MRI - Why am I being sent for this? What to expect?
I’ve just spoken to my cardiologist to give me the results of my 7 day holter and he told me that although my heart rate goes up and down a bit, they didn’t find any arrhythmias on the tape. I’m confused by that because I experience palpitations/dizziness/shortness of breath near daily, and I also use

Post Cardioversion Issues
Thank you to all those who helped and advised over weekend - saw consultant tonight - ecg shows some delayed heart actions/extra beats but not AF thankfully but we’re keeping meds the same at moment and maybe a new ambulatory BP check as if stop Flecainide could go back in to AF, reducing or stopping

Should I have an ablation?
Hi. Just looking for some advice. I’ll apologise in advance for the long post. I had ohs (mitral valve replacement) on jan 20th. I subsequently had atrial flutter twice in feb. On the first occasion it was stopped through meds and on the second I had cardioversion. I had no prior history of AF despite

5 months after aortic dissection repair
Hi I had an emergency repair of a type A aortic dissection in November '21 after being blue lighted up to Kings. I am a 66 year old female and had no inkling that there was anything wrong with my heart before this, and had put any symptoms like palpitations and dizzy spells down to extreme stress after

Digoxin added to Bisoprolol
Have been taking 3.75 msg bisoprolol for past 3 months with excellent results of hr of 61/63 and it was being considered whether to reduce slightly because of side effects. Suddenly my heart rate increased to 120 over a couple of days. ECG showed tachicardia but blood pressure excellent, full blood count

Colonoscopy
I’m due to have a colonoscopy the week after next and as I’m on flecainide (50mg x2) and bisoprolol (1.25mg) would appreciate some advice. I don’t think I need to stop the medication before the procedure, so I’ve read but does the midazolam interact with the drugs in any way please. I’m other words

Discharged from hospital
Discharged from the Heart Institute as my INR levels would not allow ablation to go ahead ( risk of clots). Started new meds - Digoxin, Ramipiril and Fruosemide to add to Bisoprolol, Atorvastatin and Warfarin and my heart rate has come down and no longer breathless but feel very lethargic ! Ablation

Symptom/side effect/other
I am attempting to obtain information/experiences from the community as I am unable to categorically determine the reasons for my concerns. I am Male 70 yrs. recently diagnosed with Angina and AF; other than breathing difficulties during moderate/extreme exercise I have no symptoms at all, no chest

Bisoprolol dosage?
I am on 1.25mg of Bisoprolol daily but my atrial fibrillation episodes seem to be increasing since first starting this drug around 8 months ago. I never go a day without being aware of my pulse skipping beats. Although these episodes are for extremely short periods they are fairly frequent throughout

A Difficult Choice
I have persistent AF, coupled with a naturally low heart rate and more recently I had a number of blackouts which occurred when I was in NSR for a short while after a cardioversion. I will shortly be fitted with a 72 hour monitor to see if any indications come up to give some reason behind the blackouts

Can't sleep 😢
I'm not sure if I'm in the right place or not, and apologies if not. But I had a hurriedly fitted pacemaker on 1/2/22. Took a bit of getting my head around as I'd been to the doctors regarding near faint episodes over the last three years, my heart issues were never captured on an ecg and so I was
