Living with presumed myocarditis which turned out to be MI
Sorry for this long post. I couldn't think how to make it shorter. I've found it hugely helpful to read the posts on this forum so I thought I'd reach out to seek some support and wisdom. My husband was fit and active (we enjoyed leisure cycling 15-20 miles, walking, gardening etc) until Oct '21. A

Advice on Rosuvastain side effects and alternatives?
I am a 68 year old male and in 2020 I had OHS to replace a Bicuspid Aortic Valve and to repair an ascending aortic aneurysm. My recovery has overall been very good and eventually I have settled into a stable medication regime. I am currently on: 2.5mg Bisoprolol daily 25mg Ramipril twice a day 75mg

How can I manage persistent AF
I am in UK and have had paroxysmal AF for a few years and was prescribed Flecainide and Bisoprolol but also had a Pacemaker fitted in July 2020 because of a low resting heart rate (normally 50 but loop recorder showed some drop to mid 30s overnight). Any periods of AF I’ve had up to now have been 5/

Well I don’t post often but I read & revise a lot of other folks Experience & advise on here which is brilliant & a remedy for me. Anyway October I had that loop recorder put in due to a car accident. I’ve been given the go to drive again since nothing showed up even tho I explained it was just a normal

Bisoprolol and Sleep.
Does anyone have issues with sleep when taking Bisoprolol? Been on it for 8 years since HA in 2015 and my sleep is not great, principally early morning waking. I know these beta blocker drugs can affect melatonin levels. My question is, is there a ‘better’ beta blocker that doesn’t affect melatonin/

Heart rate 95-105
After two trips to A and E in early November with BP 245/120 and heart rate 120 I was put on bisoprolol, amlopidine and Apixaban. Blood pressure is now way down around 100/75 - 110/80 but heart rate is still high 95 to 105 should I be concerned? Would upping the bisoprolol help. Currently taking 3.75mg

So Confussed
Hi I'm a complete newbie. After over 2 years of palpitations and only an ECG detecting an irregular heartbeat during the height of covid, having never seen a GP, or having a blood test or being placed on blood thinners, then being told that 1.25 Bisoprolol was all I needed during a phone appointment

is it normal not to see a cardiologist with AF?
Sorry, folks, I keep coming back with more questions! 8 weeks ago I ended up in A&E with a self limiting episode of AF. I think it lasted about 45 mins. It was the weekend and I saw the A&E docotor and the on call consultant from the medical side (who wasn’t a cardiologist). I was started on Bisoprolol

edoxaban and hip replacement.
I’m a 66 year old woman, due to have a complete hip replacement in late Feb - have been looking forward to it for months. Always considered myself to be very fit and healthy. However, 8 weeks ago I found myself in A&E with a self-limiting episode of AFib, which lasted maybe 45 mins. I didn’t see a cardiologist

Advice for a relatively new Afibber
I have had my diagnosis for 16 months and usually have around 1 episode a month (in Dec it was 2) Normally my heart rate stays between 50-100 during an episode and I can manage to function normally but feel like my heart is flopping around in my chest. Last night I woke at 3 with what felt like a banging

I'm scared
I have increased heart / breathing problems following (Covid) blood clots, Saw my consultant last Nov. when I was taking Bisoprolal 2.5. I was told to get out, there is nothing wrong with you stop pestering your G.P. When I said I hadn't seen my GP except for the skin cancer on my face I was accused
