Orphenadrine
My hwp had been using ophenadrine some time ago and stopped because of fears around using anticholinergics. However, his unrelenting battle with sciatica has me wondering if it might not be worth taking the risk. He is a well person in every other way, but the pain has him battling to do exercise. He

Didn't know it was Bipolar!!!
I wanted to tell my story and point of view outside the psychiatric definitions of DSM-5 and remember that many people suffering with
bipolar
disorder
don't really know they have it and let me repeat that: It convinces you it's not there.

Any experiences of Lamotrigine for bipolar 2 depression?
I'm a 64 year old woman and got a diagnosis of bipolar 2 a couple of years ago. I haven't been on any meds until now, but am finally taking the plunge as the prolonged severe depressive episodes have made life untenable. I'm looking at options for meds and Lamotrigine seems to get good reviews for prevention

suicidal ideation TW
Trigger warning suicidal thoughts due to medication, I think. Hello, I have a very long list of mental health problems including pme and being on bipolar spectrum. I have recently had to change to aripiprazole from risperidone because Ris was affecting my health. Aripiprazole has been a whirlwind

Finding the Right Treatment
I looked into TMS and Ketamine which I do not qualify for and no one will give me because I have
bipolar
disorder
and TMS could send me into a manic state and I'm a recovering alcoholic and ketamine could make me relapse.

The Dark Time Came Again: Dealing with MDD and ECT/TMS Decision
I have a dual diagnosis of
bipolar
disorder
and borderline, and I have been seeing doctors since college (I am in my 40s now); I really do not know what to do to get better. No one around me really understands what I am going through, and finding people's understanding is difficult.

Feeling grumpy and frustrated
I'm trying to be positive and grateful! But I don't really get excited about much these days. I have lingering moments of joy, but most of my days are filled with racing thoughts and killing time basically until I can get back into bed. My motivation is not very great either. I stay in my comfort

Bupropion and insomnia
I recently started the long-acting (24-hour)form of bupropion and it appears to be causing insomnia. I am wondering if taking the SR (12-hour) formulation just once daily in the morning would solve the insomnia problem while still being effective for depression. Does anyone have any experience taking

Any correlation between antipsychotic discontinuation and b12 absorption or deficiency?
Hi, has anyone ever had experience of b12 deficiency symptoms after antipsychotic withdrawal/discontinuation, & more specifically Aripiprazole (Abilify)? I am still awaiting b12 deficiency test results, but I wonder if discontinuation has resulted b12 deficiency symptoms & creating a false normal?

here we go again
tonight was good until the end. For me it feels like me life is in shambles. I had a trigger and it messed me up. I have the anxiety but tonight it feels more of a depression. Mind is wandering but literally want to break down. Got told what I needed to hear and truthfulness. I guess don’t ask if you

Bee venom for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease: How far is it possible? 2017 https://sci-hub.st/10.1016/j.biopha.2017.04.065 A woman on FB Parkinson's Alternative Healing posted that wasp venom has made most of her symptoms go away. I am still trying to find out if she stopped her meds.

changed to aripiprazole
Hello ladies I hope you’re ok. I have recently changed from risperidone to aripiprazole and I have sooo much more energy. It’s made me realised how sedated I’ve been for three years on risperidone. I realise energy or aka thesis is a symptom of changed antipsychotics. I haven’t been able to sit still

Tardive dyskinesia. Been on the causative med quetiapine 400 mg for 20 years.Unable to get off it. Been creative. I am a registered nurse.
I also have
Bipolar
disorder
on lithium. Very well controlled. But side effects of quetiapine were becoming impossible to live with. I tried aripiprazole and a reduction in quetiapine to a disastrous effect.

Brutal Panic/Anxiety
Can anyone provide some advice?? I've dealt with severe anxiety and depression for 30+ years. I had it under control up until 3 weeks ago. Out of nowhere, my anxious stomach came roaring back and is worse than ever. It's 24/7. My Dr just put me on Vilazodone Any advice/help??

convincing sister to get help
Our neurologist put her on a mood stabilizer which she would not take and wound up changing neurologist because of she noticed it’s used for
bipolar
disorder
. Personally I think it’s because of my wife. They live together and the other sister is paying the price.

Here we go again!
Well I went off my meds in late July. I have done well and now things are acting up again. Going to start Trintellex tonight. I was on mirtazapine but was starting to gain weight. Part of my anxiety is starting up new medication as well. Ugh how I do not like this at all!
