Will small amount of biotin skew lab tests?

Hello, I have been on an eating program that involves several prepackaged a day since July. I was a bit worried how it might affect my thyroid because it has soy in it, but not a large amount.

I also just realized that there is about 30 µg to 40 µg a day of biotin. Could this be enough to mess up my lab results all this time?

I was reading up on it and it sounded like it was higher doses that were the issue.

As always, thank you. 🙏

deniseross,

30 to 40 micrograms is the sort of amount of biotin you could easily get in ordinary foods. Which have never been identified as a problem.

helvella - Biotin supplementation and testing
