Blood Test

Hello Dear Thyroid Allies

I had an unexpected blood test at my doctor's the other day. I asked them not to test Thyroid as Im due to see my Endocrinologist but they did anyway. It was not done with my usual regime of an early appointment 9 am, and no biotin, but they are both within range so is there any point in repeating the test if my endocrinologist is happy with these? Thank you

Depends if you want an increase in dose. And he might object to that suppressed TSH. Also, if you were taking biotin, you can't be sure that these results are as accurate as they can be, no way to tell. I think I'd get them done correctly, just to be sure. After all, it's not just about your endo, is it, it's also about you.

And, if it were me, I'd be up in arms about the surgery doing unauthorised blood tests. That is assault. You told them not to do them and they did. Pretty sure that's illegal.
