Bone Marrow Biopsy
Hi, Diagnosed with ET and JAK2+ 14/9. Next appointment 2/11. Platelet levels have not been particularly high. Haematology Specialist Registrar phoned tonight to say MDT have advised a BMB (previous discussion on 14/9 was think about Hydroxycarbamide). How did you get on with having this procedure

I’m having a
biopsy
taken in a weeks time to check what’s going on . If anyone has any experience of this please reply or pm me . I knew there was a reason for it . Always trust your intuition! Feel glad to have a reason but now worried .

Biopsy 8-month Change - progression or sampling differences?
On the other hand, it seems unlikely that all 10 positives from the initial
biopsy
just happened to land in g6 areas, then 8 of 9 positives 10 months later landed in g7 areas, plus there is the new (smaller,
biopsy
negative) lesion on the MRI. Dr. says could be either.

I am awaiting a CT
biopsy
which my haematologist has requested as she tells me it’s lymph nodes that are fused together? Please if anyone has anything to contribute about this I would very much appreciate it. I am really worried now and this latest revelation has really thrown me .

Staying on Ibrance & Anastrozole after 2 recurrences
So for the month of September, no Ibrance - just Anastrozole while I received radiation at the recurrence site and also got a lung
biopsy
. The results were that the cancer was so not solid and there was not enough for molecular sequencing nor a ctDNA.

RT results look good
After a bout of sepsis from a directed
biopsy
, 5 weeks of RT and 3 months of Eligard, my tests show undetectable PSA.

😟 Report from recent endoscopy appeared to be all good, however there was a "possible" Barretts Tongue seen and so
biopsy
has been taken to rule Barretts out.

So I requested another
biopsy
. Which i got my results over the phone by my nurse. I find it hard that my cancer has changed, I am not sure if it's common. I don't see my oncologist till Thursday when I start IV chemotherapy.

Enlarged spleen and new findings on trephine biopsy
Thanks to all who commented on the speed of spleen enlargement. It seems like there is a large variety of experiences and hard to pinpoint exactly what sort of time it takes. I got my clinic letter today and the MDT meeting reviewed my original slides and also found” B-cell clonality “ as well as

Cough, chest pressure, GCA
I am being treated for GCA, but had a negative
biopsy
. I am now taking 40 mg of prednisone and will drop to 35 mg tomorrow. My first rheumatology appointment is May 16. I am in no pain but I am very fatigued and I continue to cough, especially when I speak, and have chest heaviness.
