Biliary atresia

My son is 6 months last week, he had biliary atresia and they did the kasai at 5 weeks, the jaundice is still there, how long does it take to clear? Also he was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver. We start solids this week. The stool has changed to yellow now but sometimes it's oily.

It is being used for treatment in PBC, biliary atresia (in children) , PSC, Alagille Syndrome, and Primary Familial Cholestasis. With patients taking Urso, often up to 40% do not see improvement. 3-5% of patients can't take it for various reasons.

Surgeon said that if we were to catch her biliary atresia early when she was 6-8 weeks there would’ve been a different treatment instead of the Kasai. But unfortunately she needed the Kasai. So they did the Kasia a week after we been hospitalized. Everything went great I thought.
