To all the parents going through tough times:
If you're facing challenges, hold on and have faith in God. No matter how difficult the journey, keep moving forward—there is hope.
I want to share my story to give strength to those in similar situations. After three miscarriages, I was blessed with my son. But at just 40 days old, he was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia. He underwent Kasai surgery at 44 days, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful.
At 9 months old, he needed a liver transplant. Post-surgery, his SGPT/SGOT levels shot up to 2000, and doctors feared his body was rejecting the liver. They had little hope. But by God’s grace, within a few days, his levels stabilized.
It took five days to come off the ventilator and another 15 days on NIV before we could return home on Day 33. But just 10 days later, he contracted RSV virus, was ventilated again for 10 days, and spent 2.5 months cycling between NIV and HFNC.
At that point, our team of surgeons, gastroenterologists, and interventional radiologists decided on balloon valvuloplasty, which, by God’s grace, was successful. However, he still needed oxygen support.
