My daughter was diagnosed with Biliary atresia and had the Kasai producer. At the age 2 she had a liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s hospital. She is now 19 years old and
My daughter was well however, the last few years her health has slowly started to deteriorate and she has had abnormal blood test results.
At the moment she has been admitted into the QE hospital because she is experiencing severe abdominal pain. The liver doctors are fantastic and supportive. My daughter has been diagnosed with reflux cholangitis and she may need to another major surgery.
Due to COVID restrictions we can not visit her and she is feeling extremely anxious because she has just moved from the children’s hospital to the adults hospital. 😢
