PMR? or not PMR? - that is the question.
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of alternative conditions that might be / have been misdiagnosed as PMR?. e.g there appears to be some evidence that Lyme disease may present the identical clinical picture as PMR.

Need some advice
Need some advice, I have been living with anxiety and depression for as long as I can remember. I was on Prozac, but a couple of years ago my Doc switched me to Zoloft. The Zoloft worked okay for a while, but I started having anxiety attacks again. My Doc just seems to want to layer on additional drugs

Frankincense and Colloidal Silver
Hi Everyone, I went to the vitamin shoppe today to purchase some items I use regularly, vitamin e oil and Niacin. I asked the sales lady if she could recommend anything for Raynaud's. She told me that Colloidol Silver heals the ulcers caused by Raynaud's. She also said that Frankincense helps stop Raynaud's

Do we need to stop all supplements before a blood test?
Hi everyone, I know that we should stop taking biotin-containing supplements for a week before a blood test, but what about other supplements? Apart from B complex and a multivitamin containing biotin, I take the following: Turmeric Selenium Zinc Vitamin C Ferrous fumarate (210 mg twice a week) The tests

A small study has recently suggested that Deep Brain Stimulation eases Parkinson’s symptoms by directly raising dopamine levels
“Even if dopamine-producing cells are not activated directly, electrically stimulating other parts of the brain, particularly those that receive information from dopamine-producing cells, can indirectly increase dopamine production ...” https://parkinsonsnewstoday.com/2019/08/23/deep-brain-stimulation-directly-raises-dopamine-levels-study-suggests

False B12 levels and biotin
My Dr. took me totally off my maintenance injections because my b12 was 1567. My iron levels were so high that he decided not to do the iron transfusion. My folate was also considerably high. He handed me a copy of my blood work and right under the b12 result it said taking high levels of biotin

Biotin and other supplements and meds
After having tests during which I had to stop taking biotin, as it interferes with results, I was wondering if it interferes with the absorption of other supplements. I don't take it with my thyroid and adrenal meds. Does it interfere with other vitamins such as vitamin C, B12, or things like L glutamine

How I reduced my Parkinson’s meds by 50% and beat my addiction to dopamine
Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Within a year I was taking the standard medication associated with the disease, dopamine in its various forms (levodopa/carbadopa, aka. Sinemet). Like most sufferers of PD, my need for Sinemet, grew and grew until I was taking 200 mg every

3 Months post viral meningitis
I’ve been a member for a few months now, trying to get advice from others or just to read everyone else’s stories. Here’s mine... The end of May I noticed I had swollen glands in the back of my neck and a bad headache. Took some ibuprofen and forgot about it. A few days later I was having neck pain along

For the Nails
I tried to post this in Junibird’s question about nails, but could not copy the picture into a response. ( I can be tech challenged at times). Anyway, this has been the only thing that has worked for me. It has both Biotin and bamboo in it. One coat by itself, is almost clear and not thick. Can

Abject fatigue
I am curious if anyone has a cheery solution for abject fatigue. I’m finding it to be a potential terminal issue. I don’t see a way out. The more I try to exercise the worse it gets. I’m currently on Rytary, klonazapam-dose hasn’t changed in 4 years- and levothyroxine. About a year ago started

I’m new here
Hello, I was diagnosed in 2011, at age 39. I was able to manage my symptoms quite well until about 18 months ago using only an agonist. I started on Sinemet at the beginning of last year, but within 6 months had increased from 3 tablets a day to 9 and started experiencing wear-off in about 2 hours.
