If you type niacin in the box at the top right of your screen near the magnifying glass you will bring up any previous posts relating to it. YBB

I thought niacin was vitamin B3, you often have it as a supplement in foods such as cornflakes I think.

It is vitamin B3 from what I have read. Not sure how you take it though. xx

Niacin is a form of Vitamin B. Follow advice of Yellowbluebell; I didn't know of any particular recommendation for PMR; it is in most multivits. By itself, it can cause facial hot flushing, but there is a non-flushing type available. Are you perhaps meaning nicatinamide? (sp?)

Don't think I remember niacin being mentioned. B12 has been. Not sure how it would help PMR/GCA - and a good diet is far better than pills...
