Sinemet intake blocked by Proteins
I was diagnosed in 1992 and have had DBS surgery. At 73, I am actually quite healthy. My question deals with protein intake due to Sinemet being blocked by animal and even quite a few plant proteins, namely amino acid foods. Are the other Parkinson drugs also sensitive to proteins? Has anyone else

Can anyone help me with blood results?
I hope someone can make some sense of my bloods as have just got off phone with Endo and been told they are perfect..... I do not believe they are and the main consideration is I feel dreadful. He says I am in fact overmedicated (Levo))which is certainly not true. My T4 has been on a downward trajectory

Clopidrogel and vitamins
Is it safe to take vitamin k2 with Clopidrogel? Does Vit k2 affect clotting like Vit K1 does? I know you have to be careful with Vit k with warfin. I take k2 with my Vit D3 & magnesium ... I thought Vit k2 was essential for getting calcium into the bones. But don’t want to take it if it is going to

Stop taking vit b12 before blood test...?
I've just noticed that on the Medichecks website under their Advanced Thyroid Function test it states: "Do not take vitamin B12 for two weeks prior to this test" Is this new? And anyone know why?! I knew you weren't supposed to take biotin containing supplements for a while before but b12 is a new one

How much will timing and biotin affect results?
I recently had blood drawn in the doctor´s office, around 11 am. I told him that 1. I had taken levo around midnight the previous day (so about 11 h earlier); 2. I am on a vit B complex containing biotin. He said it wouldn´t matter as levo (unlike lio) results in stable levels 24/7 and that he had

Hair loss
I'm a 64 year old female who was on 25 mg of Metoprolol bid until March 2020 after what I now believe to be a panic attack and landing in the ED with heart rates of 140- 150 in sinus rhythm, my dose was double to 50mg bid . Now I'm shedding mounds of hair daily even if I just run my hands through

I have had VM, unfortunately the virus was not a usual strain so I did not respond to any IV treatments they usually give to VM patients. I had to fight it myself with a temp of 40.2. How long will the headaches last? Been in hospital 3 weeks only recently discharged and scared for the future .Any advice

Levothyroxine and blood test debarcle AGAIN!!
Had my hysteroscopy and biopsy today but prior to it I had a conversation with both the anaesthetist and the surgeon regarding them stopping my levo for 2 days before the operation as my TSH was 0.01 and T4 over range( T3 not tested as no clinical validity ). They disputed the biotin and said that

Does shingles cause Hashimoto’s to flare up?
I have had Hashimoto’s now for about 3 years and I’m still finding it hard navigating my way through the symptoms and flare ups. I have suffered from very bad crippling anxiety over the last year and half which hasn’t helped with the lockdown and dealing a 4 year old and 1.5 year old while attempting
