Alternate therapies
The same afternoon I was referred to a retinal specialist by my opthomologist and was given an injection of
Avastin
. Within 10 min afterwards the pain was excruciating. No sleep that night from pain.

Bevacizumab/Avastin. Anyone on this long term?
Hi All, Just joined. Had ppc stage 3c/4 diagnosed Nov 2016. Finished Carbo, Taxol with Bevacizumab May/June 2017. Continued with Bevacizumab and was reviewed last week, number 14. Levels are steady but was told the body needs to rest and recover hence stopping at 18. There was reference to funding also

Still here after 8 years!
It has spread to my lymphatic system but after a few unsuccessful attempts to control the disease I am now on oral chemo and
avastin
which has stabilised the situation - at present!!! I have my moments of despair (who doesn't?) but am so grateful to the oncologists and nurses who look after me.

Treatment has never gone smoothly...Anaphylactic reactions to Paclitexol, caeylex and
Avastin
. Carboplatin and Gem stopped working for me. Now I have fewer options because of the reactions I have had. I go tomorrow to see consultant to discuss this.

Overthinking
Anyway, I have been lucky enough to travel a lot in this past 10 months despite
Avastin
and stoma. Norway, Italy, Switzerland, Orlando with the children and grandkids and now this. I saw this picture on the flight out to Miami in an onboard magazine and it really sums it all up for me.

Brca1 diagnosis help for my daughter
It was inoperable so I continued with 3 more chemo's and have now had 16 of 18 treatments of
Avastin
. I feel very lucky because my scan shows minimal disease ( ca125 is 16). My oncologist is amazed as he thought I was in this position due to surgery.

Chesty cough
Has anyone had the horrible chesty cough on
Avastin
. I’ve had it on and off since beg December. Really bad the last two weeks. Was given Augmentin but seemed to throw up an hour and s half after taking so GP advised going back to amoxicillin to complete course.

Eye injection
My question: Anybody on this site ever have any experience with this problem after
Avastin
injection? I’m really worried and hope the injection hasn’t made it worse. Anything you can share would be helpful. Thank you, Angelbook1

Private medical insurance & NHS treatment money back!
as we were considering stopping paying for private as we never use it but I thought I'd ask about future treatments like
Avastin
etc.

"You are stable" - well, I never expected to hear that today.
I wanted to show how much tumours can diminish with just carbo and
avastin
in the hope it gives hope to everyone - especially those who may be Stage 4B, as I am. Hi there lovelies. It's true.

Stage 3c ovarian cancer Nov 2016
I am currently having
avastin
every three weeks until June 2018. Most days I feel quite positive other days I feel very down. The first thing my oncologist said after my operation was "there is no cure for this" a bit of a bomb shell really!

Possibly back, but relieved for now
Her doctor said if/when there's a recurrence she'll treat her with Carboplatin/Gemzar and
Avastin
. Has anyone had this particular combo for a 2nd line treatment? It seems uncommon compared to using Carbo/Caelyx or Carbo/Taxol. Thanks, Michael
