My story part 2 !
The dr then said would I like an injection of
AVASTIN
as I certainly needed one. I declined as I was just too upset and had driven to this appointment so I now have an appointment on Thursday for my 11 th injection of a drug which is yet to show any real signs of working.

Is it worth removing the floaters in an MD affected eye
In my left one I had wet MD and I had been treated with
avastin
and lucentis. With regards to my right eye which I only have peripheral vision, do you think that remving the floaters from it is worth the risk? Lately I the amount of floaters increased in both eyes and thickened as well.

Professor Hani Gabra's Presentation - Professor of Medical Oncology - Imperial College - 25 September 2012
Trials with
Avastin
had turned out well for 2nd and 3rd line treatment. Dose-dense Taxol works in a similar way to
Avastin
and reduces the side-effects of joint pain and neuropathy associated with this chemotherapy. He advised us to look up the Watson and Crick research papers.

Hi everyone I wondered what anyone's experience was of
Avastin
? It's been suggested to me but as I feel I'm doing well (chemo,op, chemo) I'm not convinced that the benefits out weight the side effects etc. Decisions, decisions!! Thanks, Sue

Is anyone taking Avastin as well as Taxol/Carboplatin as part of their Chemo regime?
It was suggested by my oncologist that given the advanced nature of my condition that there might be some advantge in combining
Avastin
to my chemo regime.

After a hysterectomy and chemo I had excellent scan results but my cancer has come back very quickly.
3 months after finishing carboplatin/taxol/
avastin
chemo my CA125 has started to rise. It had been stable at around 17 and then in 3 weeks jumped to 51. I'm on maintenance chemo having
Avastin
every 3 weeks but now it looks as though this isn't working.

I am still around !!!!!!
I am on new chemo, the
Avastin
I have had to come off it, as if I need surgery on the bowel I have to wait 6 weeks to get the drug out of the system first. So I am now back on the dreadful stuff, Taxol, where I am losing my hair, eye lashes and eyebrows.

New to this, but would really like some help x
I have completed 6 sessions of chemopherapy (pemetrexed,
avastin
and carboplatin) . I thought that would be it, however, have been told in order to prolong my life I need to remain on chemo indefinitely (
avastin
and pemetrexed).

Fantastic Chemo Response - Was it the Curcumin?
Another scan was taken at the end of the chemo and the
Avastin
treatment was started.

Second opinion and poetry
The most interesting thing was
Avastin
, but because of the way it works, it hasn't been shown to help women who have responded well to chemo and have no active disease of more than 1cm.
