I had my first catheter ablation on tuesday afternoon (less than 48 hours ago) and am now at home in a LOT of pain. Especially when lying down it is genuinely agony. All over my chest, upper back, left shoulder and arm. I have just spoken to the Heart Nurses at Liverpool Chest & Heart hospital who have

Catheter Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation Anyone had a catheter ablation and afterwards their food triggers were no longer an issue?
Great site, thank you. I have been proposed a catheter ablation for my A-fib (occasional SVT). I know white wine is a trigger, though red isn't... I also am about to eliminate gluten to see if that is a trigger. The A-fib is getting worse and more often and I note particularly after eating - about 15

Anyone had an endometrial ablation , how long until I know if it has worked.
Had lap and had Endo removed, also had ablation 2 months ago now, had a very small amount of blood yesterday, does this mean it hasn't stopped my periods from coming.

New Member
Hi, I thought I'd introduce myself as a new member here. My husband had a minor heart attack two years ago and was also diagnosed with hypertension, atrial fibrillation and sleep apnoea. He had two stents inserted and along with Clopidogrel and Atenolol, he began Acenocoumarol. He was told that

Catheter Ablation or Keyhole Surgery.
Hello all, this is my first posting so I hope I'm doing things correctly. I've had persistant, long standing A/F for about 2 years now, been hospitalised once. Today I had my first appointment with the E.P. and to cut things short, I was offered the option of either a Catheter Ablation or Key Hole Surgery

Injections prior to a hysterectomy??
I went to see my consultant yesterday, my 6 month check up after having an Endometrial ablation. The procedure has made my bleeding lighter but the pain is just the same if not worse, that was my reason for having it done. He is now saying before he will do a hysterectomy I have to have injections in

please see my additional info below, it wouldn't fit in:
following full left mastectomy and lymph node removal in 2006 i have slight lymphodema in left arm. the treatments have left me with some excess weight but my left tummy area is fatter and feels "squidgy" , more like fluid than a spare tyre! could it be lympdodema?

1st Atrial Fibrillation and Atrial Flutter Ablation last Monday. Went very well and hopefully successful but on Wednesday
I suddenly had visual disturbances, having had a previous T.I.A. and stroke I was obviously worried but this was different. With the T.I.A. I went blind in one eye for 5 minutes with this disturbance I saw shards of crystal clear glass in a zigzag pattern crossing my eyes whether they were open or closed
