Vats Ablation, my story.
I have been reading with interest various experiences with various treatments for (believe it or not) various complaints. With all these variables on offer I noticed my personal experience is different again. My History: I had palpitations' when I was 18 after drinking excessively, these went not to

Post Ablation for SVT
Hi. I'm wondering if it's normal to feel weak after cardiac ablation? Also is it normal to develop depression, anxiety and or sleep disturbances? I was told I'd be better in a week. I had my procedure on November 16, 2016 and I still feel like my get up and go got up and left. I have so much to do and

Ablation - If you had to do over again, *WOULD YOU?
I am a single 60 year old healthy male with intermittent Paroxysmal AF. Currently scheduled for Ablation in a few weeks and I am scared about the after effects. Since 2012 had 2 cardioversions and 2 other AF events of 24+ hours that subsequently quelled via medication. Last two events happened within

My ablation experience
Hi :) I'm relatively new here. I wanted to make a post letting everyone know my experience with the catheter ablation for my SVT. First of all it was successful which is great news! Going into this procedure we did not have as much documented info as most patients have as it was very hard for them

How may ablations can one person have?
Having just had my third catheter ablation; I am guessing that 3 is the limit? The first was for atrial flutter, the second and third for paroxymal atrial fibrillation. Of the second two, the first was freezing (cryoablation) and this week's a radio frequency ablation. I didn't know until the registrar

Post ASD closure
Like many people, I was diagnosed with a hole in my heart which I've apparently, had from birth. This was discovered after an isolated instance of PAF following panic attacks in April 2016. I've now had my ASD closure a couple of weeks ago. Prior to the procedure, I had not experienced any more A/F episodes

Out of AF, but have had a stroke / TIA
Following my second catheter ablation last year, I am now out of AF, and was taken off warfarin about 6 months ago. However, three weeks ago, I had a couple of symptoms which are indicative of a stroke, and was taken by ambulance to A&E after my husband dialled 999. I had a head CT, which showed no evidence

SVT, ablation coming up
Hi! I have a catheter ablation surgery coming up in 13 days. I met with my cardiologist who showed strong concern over the risk of blood clots after the surgery. I'm 24 years old, I take birth control and I smoke. I know it's silly of me but I haven't been able to quit. When I met with the surgeon and

The big operation tomorrow 💪
I'm going for the full hysterecomy with omentum & lymph node removal in the morning . The operation has been brought forward 2 weeks early I'm excited that things are moving forward but also terrified at the same time. Results will be 2 weeks after to determine what course of treatment I will receive

Post av node ablation palpitations
I had
av
node
ablation
April 11 this year after 4 years of more of less permanent AF. Since the procedure the frequency of palpitations or ectopic beats has increased from every now and then to almost constant.

What to do with lymph nodes?
I will have an interval debulking surgery next week. My PET scan shows NED after 3 cycles of chemo. I had enlarged para aortic lymph nodes initially. I have clear cell histology. My oncologist wants to do laparatomy with complete lymphadenectomy (removal of all pelvic and para aortic lymph nodes). I
