Just had an outpatient appointment today after several weeks of experienceing palpitations and chest pain. the consultant has referred me to John Radcliffe hospital for an ablation or av node ablation not sure of consequence, already have had an ablation and pace maker fitted for blackouts which have now stopped.

I am going on this route too. The av node ablation is like the final act. Cuts the link. I am resisting this for now. Perhaps depends how old you are too. Would be interested in hearing others who have had it.

I am coping on bisoprolol (pacemaker 15 years). after 3rd ablation didnt go well. But more comfortable now as in tachy spells rather than af . Have tried most anti arrhythmic drugs without success.

Also magnesium helping i am sure.
