Catheter Ablation
Hi. I have an ablation booked for next week. Bit nervous. Does anybody know if there are any long term implications related to having this procedure? I’m wondering if it can damage your heart in any way or whether it means you can’t have certain treatment at a later stage. Also does anyone know if you

Left or right femoral vein entry ?
Femoral vein (groin area) entry for an ablation catheter sounds from comments that it's usually the right leg. Just wondering if left leg entry is just to suit the operator who might be left handed ?

Want to mange this thing!
I had catheter ablation for supraventricular Tachycardia in March and second one in June. Was told 2nd ablation would fix me, as the Electrophysiologist now knew what to do/where to ablate and would use special mapping equipment and higher powered catheters. He ablated SVT site and found a Flutter site

Has anyone had or is considering catheter ablation to overcome Afib?
I am considering having there surgery and would like to hear from others that have had it or are also considering having the procedure?

ablation - types and pacemaker
Afib
ablation
involves the
AV
node
and therefore a pacemaker is needed. Is everyone who had afib ablation on a pacemaker? Irrespective of any of the above, I believe and feel in my heart that the recovery period (7 days) told to me by the medics is wrong and for SVT it is more like 3 months.

Would like to say Thank You to all of you whom have posted your experiences with AFIB and Ablation. It has helped me to prepare myself for this procedure.

Atrial Fibrillation
I have had an EP study with the hope of an
ablation
on the
AV
node
. The EP study revealed that no
ablation
was needed but i do have a common atrial flutter. My cardiologist has now decided I should have a pulmonary vein isolation and ischemic ablation.

It's been 7 months and no period since laparoscopy?
Hi all, I had a laparoscopy complete with some endometrial ablation and two dosages of an injection (decapeptyl, two dosages, 3 months apart) that i was informed was meant to compliment what i had done and keep the endometrial tissue from regrowing for a while. Should i be worried? I am not sexually

Hi, I was diagnosed with paroxysmal afib at 43 in 2017 and had catheter ablation in March this year. Afib returned for a couple of hours twice but was in the 3 month blanking period so was ok. Stopped the flecainide and verapamil 2 months after procedure as advised by surgeon and need to say it feels

High heart rate post-ablation
I had a cardiac ablation for both AF and flutter 4 weeks ago. Recovery has been pretty smooth; one episode at 10 days where i had a heart rate of like 150 bpm for 4 hours, but it settled on its own. at 2 week check-up, EKG showed no sign of AF, but some flutter. my EP added amioderone to the metropolol

Waiting list
Looking for views on
AV
node
ablation
and pacemaker which has been suggested as I have been on waiting list for an ordinary ablation for so long that they think it may not work.
