i got a (successful) ablation done for wolff parkinson white on April 14 (almost 4 months ago) and am still dealing with some shortness of breath (laying on my right side helps), severe anxiety and sometimes dissociation, as well as stomach issues. i also experience dizziness/lightheadedness that brings on vision trouble/light sensitivity. this all started when i showed symptoms of WPW. they have lessened somewhat since getting the ablation, but i don’t feel like myself yet. i’m going to see a pulmonologist regarding my breathing trouble next week. can anyone let me know if what i’m going through is perfectly normal or their experience? thank you.

Sorry I have no experience of WPW but have a look at our fact sheet on recovering from ablation as the principals will be the same. heartrhythmalliance.org/res...
Hey jubemmeva , I underwent a very similar procedure just after you. May 14th for AVRT which I believe was being caused by an accessory pathway similar to WPW. Overall I have felt okay and only mild ectopics until a week and a half ago. I started experiencing some really strong ectopics along with some chest tightness that was definitely linked with some digestion problems.
I’m not an expert and you should definitely consult with your doctor but I still believe this is part of the recovery process. We are all so hyper aware of every little blip following the procedure that it can be very stressful and disheartening which in turn makes thing worse.
Still hopeful that things will settle and I hope you feel better. If you ever want to chat to someone who has had a similar procedure then please feel free to contact me.
