Ablation appointment take two …..
Deep breath and all fingers crossed, I’ve been given provisional appointment for cryoablation end of this month. They need to use an internal echocardiogram on me (ICE) due to previous heart surgery and clot risk. There is only one such thing in the locality which is why they had to cancel todays appointment

Mild aortic stenosis...is this normal?
A heart mumur was picked up when I was at the a&e back in June. Had an echocardiogram done September. Finally after trying to chase the a&e cardiologist who checked the echocardiogram he said my results were all normal. So I requested my results to check for myself as I feel rotten daily and it's says

Off the AF meds, scared!
Has anybody got a similar experience of coming off the meds so soon, it just seems early days I spoke to my Cardiologist last week, after an ablation in September I was tachycardic and a cardio version was required in December. Sinus rhythm restored and February 7th he took me off both the beta blockers

Low blood pressure
I was diagnosed with AF in October ( now permanent but controlled)and heart failure in December(EF 32). I am now on Bisoprolol 2.5mg, Edoxaban60mg, Entresto24mg twice daily, and new one Spironolactone25g. My problem is that my already low BP plummets every time a new drug is introduced or an increase

Fatigue and lethargy
I’m stage 4 ckd, and I am experiencing fatigue and lethargy on a daily basis. I find that I have very little energy, and I can barely accomplish anything beyond a couple of small tasks. I also have stage 3 non-alcoholic liver disease, and had open heart surgery in 2019. However, my recent echo gram

Arrhythmia after open heart surgery - any others with similiar experiences?
Hi there, I'm new to this forum and looking forward to learning from you all. 8 weeks ago I had open heart surgey to correct a large atrial septal defect (hole in the heart). It was diagnosed at Christmas. Prior to this I had no cardiac symptoms at all - I was power lifting in the gym, cycling a 20km

How long does it take to come around after coma?
Hi, My Dad has been in an induced coma for 11 days and then had a huge heart operation. They started to reduce his sedation day 4 post op, and he opened his eyes and blinked a little on command; then squeezed my Mums hand. They explained and they need to fit a trachi on Monday night, it’s now Wednesday

Hi folks 🤗 just thought I'd update you on how my training is going. Today I'm up to 6k run I could pinch myself as never thought I'd get to do anything like that again!! Feeling good though wee bit knee trouble now and then. But nothing a pain killer and deep heat can sort. I'm joining a park run group

Nerve block for wrist surgery
Just wondering if anyone has had experience of an operation under Nerve Block as opposed to General Anaesthetic. I have just had a plate put in my wrist due to a fall and besides it being the worst experience of my life, my Fibromyalgia has drastically worsened. Wondering if I should have opted for General

HDT b1 PROTOCOL
Morning all, I joined today the 1st August 2023. This, because I recently stumbled across Daphne Bryan's YouTube video about her journey with the Costantini "method". That being superdosing of vitamin B1 thiamine. I was able to find ampoules of Thiamine in 50 and 100mg doses, and I have nurses readily
