Heart bypass surgery
I had a heart attack almost 10 years ago and last week suffered another minor attack. I am currently in hospital as I had an angiogram but due to the extent of my heart disease I have been recommended for bypass surgery (subject to satisfactory scans etc). I have never had serious surgery like this before

Waxing or hair removal when on Warfarin
Hi. I just had a mechanical valve replacement on the 16th of August 2023. I would like to get waxed. Is it possible to? I have never bled before warfarin. Are there other hair removal methods that are safer or can I stick to waxing?

Afib or Dysautonomia
I have had Long Covid for 3 years and have 24 symptoms that could be Dysautonomia. I was diagnosed with Afib in January 22 after ending up in A&E and the Afib has been continuous since then. Two months prior to the diagnosis I had an Echocardiogram that showed no problems. Could this actually be Dysautonomia

What it is like to get an AV fistula, My journey
I am writing this for those who are heading to dialysis and want to know what it is like. As RonZone did with PD, I am talking about home hemodialysis, HHD. My lab numbers are at the point to "get-er done." The first step: I was scheduled for an AV fistula; first-stage left brachiobasilic fistula

I had 2 open heart surgeries to repair the holes and coarctation of aorta by the time I was 3 months old. I have since been seen yearly by a cardiologist for Echocardiograms

Medication interaction
I was recently diagnosed with AF and heart failure and prescribed digoxin and Bisoprolol as well as Edoxaban and now wonder if it is still safe to start my rescue pack on top of these. I have had Doxycyclin and 8 prednisolone daily prior to this. Also as breathlessness is supposedly a side effect of

Newly diagnosed angina
Just recently been diagnosed with angina after an episode of pain while running up a hill. I'd always thought the shoulder pain was connected to my brachial plexus pain, which was also diagnosed at same time (had it for years) and I was prescribed Gabapentin for this. The thing is this then cleared

Atrial fibrillation in early 50s for no obvious reason
Hi, I'm 51 years old, fit, healthy, no high BP, don't smoke, eat mostly a plant based diet and had my first afib episode a month ago. A&E couldn't find a cause and put it down to dehydration and over doing it. They sent me away with no medication. A fews weeks later I started getting migraines with aura

Aortic stenosis
Morning all , I’m 14 months post my second ablation which was an RF redo to tidy up the PV and left atrial floor as I was told . I’m very pleased with my progress so far with only two mild and short episodes of AF . I also have mild to moderate stenosis of the valve which I was told in 2017 would have

Second Successful Ablation with Dr. Natale
I am now one week past my second ablation with Dr. Natale in Austin, Texas. The biggest miracle of all was that when I went off of Flecainide five days before surgery, nothing happened and I stayed in sinus rhythm. My first ablation was nearly five years ago, and I tried unsuccessfully to go off of Flecainide

Bisoprolol/flecanide/amytriptiline
Looking for some advice. I've been on varying doses of Bisoprolol for 2 years now, hate the stuff, feel lethargic and foggy headed and seem unable to lose weight, despite the fact I keep the dose as low as I can. The arrhythmia nurse did try changing it to verapamil and that led to the only AF episode

Ablation appointment take two …..
Deep breath and all fingers crossed, I’ve been given provisional appointment for cryoablation end of this month. They need to use an internal echocardiogram on me (ICE) due to previous heart surgery and clot risk. There is only one such thing in the locality which is why they had to cancel todays appointment

Mild aortic stenosis...is this normal?
A heart mumur was picked up when I was at the a&e back in June. Had an echocardiogram done September. Finally after trying to chase the a&e cardiologist who checked the echocardiogram he said my results were all normal. So I requested my results to check for myself as I feel rotten daily and it's says
