Eight is enough?
Reflecting on this year, made me recall that old TV series. My own family is small. My wife and I live on a small farm where we nurture dozens of animal "children". We have one son, our most treasured gift; and, at 21, he is still finding his way in the world with a kind heart and a gentle nature that

PET/PSMA scan results after 3rd LU-177. Should I go ahead with SBRT or complete 4th LU-177?
PSA Marker came down marginally from 0.227 to 0.202 . Results of PET/PSMA scan today compare with scan on May 2021: 1. The previously noted PSMA avid sclerotic bone metastases demonstrate interval resolution of PSMA uptake. The current scan shows multiple non-PSMA avid sclerotic bone lesions, which are

Proton therapy vs IMRT?
Looked at studies - seem inconclusive as to any advantage for one over other. Some indications PT may have less side effects, maybe? Local radiation folks (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance) say have seen slightly more rectal bleeding from PT. Thoughts?

1st meeting with RO tomorrow morning what questions should I ask?
If you could go back to your 1st meeting with your RO what do you wish you had asked? I have been on Eligard for 50 days, well tolerated so far. planning to start Zytiga on Nov. 2nd. Not sure when radiation treatments will actually start. The plan they have proposed for me is 28 sessions with a total

New Game plan
Thanks to all of you for your feedback, based on what I learned from this group I have a better understanding of what I need to do for a favorable outcome to the Oligometastatic disease I have been confronted with. Plan is to get PSMA scan and use aggressive radiation, including SBRT if needed, as well

Can PSA be determined from the blood clots that are produced in from radiation cystitis?
Hubs had RARP 2014; IMRT & ADT 2016 for recurrence. He's now experiencing low but increasing (doubling) PSA. Simultaneously, having second bout of radiation cystitis, using Foley to dilate urethra. But blood clots are being produced. Just wondering if that sloughed off tissue (from bladder/urethra

Has anyone here completely overcome Radiation Cystitis or Radiation Urethritis for the long term?
Asking because my hubs is having 2nd bout in less than 1 year. Urologist is repeating same procedure of dilating urethra using successively larger catheters every two weeks with Foley 24/7 apparatus. Last bout, hubs started out with bleeding & blood clots. This time, no blood at first, just had hard

PSA score 3 months after HDR Brachy & 25 IMRT
Thank you all for all the information you provide, truly a life-saver. First PSA test 3 months after treatment shows 1.54, last test prior to treatment was 4.87. Meeting with Doctor on 10/22 to discuss. Feels a little high, is this within expectations? Thank you all again!
