SBRT to surgical bed and WPRT (Excalibur Trial) vs IMRT
My long journey deciding on a treatment for BCR to surgical bed as noted on PSMA PET/CT and MRI 3/2021 with no metastasis noted has lead me to the decision for SRT, either SBRT or IMRT. I've been on Eligard since 3/2021 and PSA 0.1< and testosterone 21ng. I have consulted Mayo AZ (surgical bed only

2 years of ADT counting from end of IMRT versus first injection 6 months before?
To be clearer than my title of this question, my Urologist told me that he counts the 2 years of Eligard to start after my IMRT finished( August 2020) instead of March 2020 when I received my first injection. I was trying to process it and forgot to ask for further details. BTW, my PSA remains low at

When to start
Gleason 3+4. I had robotic prostatectomy in 2010 , PSA in 2018 was 1.5. All scans including clinical trial PSMA 18F were clear. IMRT and 4 months Eligard and Casodex. PSA was reported to be less than 0.1. Past three years PSA has risen from 0.03 to 0.05. (.03, .04, .04, .05, .02 and .05) PSA

Is drug treatment the only way to go?
Are my MO's doing the right thing? At 67, both Fox Chase and Moffit oncologists are of the same opinion that I should/can hold off starting any further treatment until doubling time is less than 6-9 months. Original PSA 7.4, Gleason 3+3, surgery 5/2007. Had slight PSA rise and had IMRT 3/2008. PSA still

Am I Crazy???
Let me preface this post by saying that I’m one of those guys who values quality of life over longevity, within reason. I know this stance is very controversial on this forum, and so I will tread lightly. Almost all of you guys are fighting tooth and nail for your last breath, and I respect that.

K I S S, yes trying to keep it simple. A Lupron vacation after 2 yrs on & Abiraterone(250mg) & Prednisone 5mg? Yes or no?
Well, discussions with my med oncologist June 3rd did entail the possibility of stopping my Lupron 90 day injections this Sept. Notice I said possibility. 1. I've had two successful CT scans of my abdomen/Pelvis this year(primarily to detect my severe diverticulitis) both scans showed no 'cancer lesion

Finally Starting Treatment
Summarizing: 76 years old diagnosed in May with Gleason 4+4. All 10 samples on the right side were positive with "disrupted" capsule. Since then 1. PSA rose from 7.4 to 9.2 2. Had Axumin PET scan which was clear 3. Decipher test came back .87 4. Invitae found CHEK2 mutation So I'm starting Orgovyx on

From clenil modulite to Fostair
Hi everyone I hope you are all well. I have just been given my asthma plan. I have also had my clenil modulite changed to Fostair. Just wanted to ask what your experiences have been with Fostair? Is it a ‘stronger’ inhaler than clenil and any advice of what you have experienced would be much appreciated

The time has come to find out if my treatments were successful or not. Today I received my final 3 mo Eligard injection and will no longer need to take the daily abiraterone acetate ( zytiga) and prednisone. I have a withdrawal schedule for the prednisone that I developed with my MO. My psa <0,01 and

Rectal Bleeding 1 year after Radiation
From May through July 2020, I had 35 sessions of adjuvant IMRT (RP was in fall 2019). My RO told me to expect rectal bleeding after about 18 months. Since my last RO visit 3 months ago, I've been experiencing bleeding off/on, some fairly heavy, during bowel movements. Can anyone give advice or insight

Rising PSA despite salvage radiotherapy.
I have posted before but may be a short introduction helps. I am 71 yo and was dx of Gleason 6 back in May 2019 with PSA 10.5. Had my RARP in Toronto (Princess Margaret Hospital) in Oct 2019. I did not have lymph node exploration because the urologist did not feel that I needed it with Gleason 6. Pathology
