Stage 4 , MO questions

This friday I will visit my 1st MO at Univ. of Chicago , Dr. Szmuleiwitz . Just Dxd with with Stage 4 with 1 hot node in the pelvic area . My Ro , Dr. Hirsch , Illinois Cyberknife who gave me primary SBRT 5 yrs ago suggested 3 fractions SBRT , then 25 fractions of IMRT . Had a fidicuial implanted into hot lymph node last week . My question is what are some of the hard ball questions should I be asking the MO ?

He's got a great reputation. Forget about "hard ball." The question he is best able to answer for you at this point is whether any adjuvant hormonal therapy (like Zytiga) would be a good idea to add to the radiation therapy. He can also help you with the side effects of ADT.

He’s my doc and I’m still here after 4+ years. He will take the time to answer all your questions. He will also try to get a sense of how aggressively you want to be treated, and will advise you accordingly. There are actually some choices these days. Good luck on your visit.

No advice, but we are seeing Dr Szmulewitz on Friday also, but virtually. We originally saw him last April for initial consult, and he is great and very thorough. Great decision to see him.
