Suppressed TSH and new chest pain
Here’s the long version: I’ve had my own Hashimotos under control for 15+ years with
Armour
thyroid
. I’ve talked my primary care doctor into prescribing
Armour
, allowing me to adjust slightly when symptoms shift slightly, as long as the T4 and T3 bloodwork is within range.

Why do I suddenly feel terrible but still taking Armour?
My private
thyroid
doctor recommended an increase in
Armour
by a quarter of a grain a day and bloods six weeks later. I started doing that dose on 1st April. The constipation started to ease after about a week. Since 13th (6 days ago) I have felt absolutely terrible.

ERFA with added iodine
Hiya.I have recently sourced a batch of ERFA via a private pharmacy, but after reading the fine print on the bottle, I have noticed it also contains 0.2 % of iodine. I thought this would be counterproductive, as iodine supplementation is not recommended with hypothyroidism? I am now concerned about

anyone opted for Watch and Wait with indeterminate nodules thy3f? Looking for people with similar previous experience to make up my mind
hi everyone just wondering if anyone ever had the courage to opt for wait and see tactic with indeterminate nodules? How often did manage it? How did you feel in the end? What made you make that decision? my situation is that I have two indeterminate nodules on either side. Doctors recommended total

Cardiac surgery
Has anyone on long term thyroid meds had open-heart cardiac repair surgery? Any ideas as to whether it affects thyroid and any need to up/ lower T4/T3 meds? Any reflections/suggestions would be most welcome.

thy3f thyroid nodules on either side - doctors recommend total thyroidectomy
hi there I was recently diagnosed with 2 thy3f nodules on either side of my thyroid. Thy3f is an indeterminate result (25%malignancy 75% benign). I have no symptoms recently had a baby, breastfeeding, busy mom of 3 on no medication. Has anyone elected watch and wait tactic instead of thyroidectomy?

Enlarged thyroid
In May 2023 I was advised that I have an enlarged thyroid gland that was partially causing narrowing of the trachea this was seen via CT. I had thyroid bloods done and advised they all came back normal. In December had a repeat CT which showed the same as before as well as ultrasound scan which confirmed

Collected Responses to Give more funding for thyroid research and patients after price hike Petition
The petition launched by Pete Taylor has received a response, and there have now been numerous posts referencing that. And replies on each of them. This it is getting spread and some will be missed, there will be much repetition, etc. For that reason, this new post is intended to collect everything

Thyroid S
I have been on Thyroid S for years, always ordering from Thailand, and have recommended them to a few here. A couple of forum members were having trouble ordering lately. I was due to re-order, went to the website to find it no longer has thyroid medication. Now I am in a flat panic! The website

Nurse phone call update
I put the results of my thyroid and cholesterol blood test result on here the other day and today I heard back from the nurse who said my Thyroid was fine “within the range” the usual thing. but my cholesterol was very high at 8 which I knew. So, as always, just concentrating on my cholesterol levels
