ERFA medication.

Hi Everyone , hopefully someone can help me with this post . I have an endocrinologist who will supply me with a prescription privately for ERFA and has done for the last 10 years . Thankfully I have been fit and well for this time thanks to his understanding and skill . My problem now is the cost of the medication is becoming prohibited as the price increases are unsustainable for me buying from my uk pharmacy . Does anyone have any suggestions of other sources ? Does anyone buy direct from Canada and how easy is it to do so?

Thyroid UK have a List of Pharmacies -

If you have been given a prescription (NHS or private) for natural desiccated thyroid (NDT) or liothyronine (T3)

There may be members who have had experience of alternatives. Discussion of UK pharmacies accepting private prescriptions is permitted.

You may also get suggestions of sources which will sell without using the prescription. Especially as you ask about shipping from overseas.

I’ve been getting Erfa on a private prescription meaning I also pay doctors fee and their prescription fee which whacks up the price.

As my levels are now good (tho I don’t yet feel that sadly) I’m now going direct to Roseway who’ve fulfilled my prescription thus far.

With Roseway you book a consult with their prescribing pharmacist (£55 first session of 20 minutes and £30 for ten minutes thereafter). There is no prescription charge you just pay for the drugs. You don’t say what your ERFA costs or your dosage. Im Currently taking two grains (120mg) and that cost me £210 last time for three months supply. Actually it cover a little more time as there’s 100 tablets in a bottle so 100 days!

Am looking at this also but suspect that there will be customs charges, the only one that works for me is erfa to date
