Braf mutation?
I have been told I have genes with the braf mutation. What implications, if any, does it have for thyroid cancer?

memory loss and confusion issues
hi there. I’m enquiring on behalf of my friends father who is newly diagnosed with Graves’ disease. He has had test for dementia and memory loss issues all of which came back negative. He’s now been told it’s due to his thyroid issues, which his Endo said isn’t true. Is this a thing? I’ve never heard

Gingko Biloba - Supplement Advice
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out for advice on using Ginkgo Biloba to combat brain fog. My previous experience with the Amitamin Ginkgo complex yielded promising results in boosting mental clarity. However, I've noticed it contains iodine (150ug), which I'd rather steer clear of. With that in mind

Atrophied Thyroid....
Hi All, I looking for advice again! After being ill over Christmas and convinced it was my medication, coming off everything bar my 100mg Levothyroxine, symptoms didn't improve. My GP thought I had Sjorgrens, I've been told CREST too, only to find out in a call from an RA Consultant on Monday which i

Cough
So, since having a virus causing a sinus cold at the start of Easter holidays, I have had a flare up which has gradually gotten worse since. I think, symptoms-wise I might have stabilized. Anyhow, I have realized that since about halfway through April I started with a light cough and it has increased

Swollen tongue and teeth impressions on tongue
I am suffering with a very sore swollen tongue and I'm sure ages ago there was a post about this but I can't find it. Am I right in thinking that B12 may be the issue or increase in meds to rectify this? I am currently on Erfa one and quarter grains 6am and half grain 3pm and alternate days one and half

Armour thyroid pills broken to dust
Hi Has anyone else had this problem? Many of my pills have turned to dust in the bottom of the bottle. The bottle has not been shaken or unduly moved. And they were whole when they arrived. I'm going to have to work out how to take the dust I think? 🤔 😔 It's about £100 of medication.

Suppressed TSH and getting optimum on NDT
I'm being treated by a private
thyroid
Dr for hypothyroid, I'm on NDT
Armour
and I've been slowly titrating for 12 months from zero treatment. I couldn't get treatment on the NHS. My latest results show TSH at 0.01.

some advice
just has the private blood test done after having borderline results with gp this year. Both antibodies are really high 255 but my thyroid hormones are relatively normal. I’ve been told previously to have repeat bloods yearly as I’m at higher risk of developing hypothyroidism. I’ve also insisted on

Graves disease Auto Immune Diet
Hello again. All has settled with tablets. Thyroid levels are normal again, so my Carbimazole dose has been reduced by half to 5 mg per day. I just wondered if anyone had tried any Thyroid diet plans with success. Not necessarily to lose weight, though I've put nearly a stone on with ATD but more

Biotin in Vitamin B complex supplements
HiI've been talking a vitamin B complex for years, only to realise Biotin affects thyroid bloodworks, I can't believe I never knew! My questions is, do I continue with the complex or just some specific B vitamins? Or just stop taking them, when my thyroid bloods are due? Does Biotin affect all the blood

Time if day for taking medicine
I want to try taking medicine at night. Is natural thyroid or thyroxin likely to interfere with sleep?I'm completely shattered all the time apart from waking due to work stress so I doubt I would notice a small effect.

Thyroid or menopause - which to sort first?
I've just checked the app, and the last of my blood tests are back. I definitely have started perimenopause and as per my last post I have high TPOab, high TSH (7.5 with high ref being 4.26), and lowish T4 (14.2 of a 12—22 range). I have symptoms that overlap the two conditions, but also symptoms that

Thyroid Cancer Reoccurrence?
I'm having a bit of a panic. Had my thyroid panel done through medichecks with THYROGLOBULIN of 12. Had a TT for papillary thyroid cancer 13 years ago when I was 26. I was discharged from oncology 2 years ago and thyroglobulin not been checked since. I was always told it should be undectable. Should

Supplement help to support thyroid
Hi Thyroid UK Community, I think Berberine, and selenium sounds like it could be beneficial, from what I have researched. There are studies to support that they could be beneficial. Does anyone have thoughts?
