I wonder if anyone else has tried using

and if so which type and were there any benefits noted.

After my hip operation: PMR quiet (thank goodness) while everything else goes mad
caftan’s recent post about their upcoming hip operation prompted me to write this. I read the post, and the responses, to see if there was anything I could add, but there wasn’t. I’m 73, and my op in early Feb went really well; I’m now almost as active as I expect to be. My pred dosage has been managed

Mast cells and RLS
I am convinced that for myself and possibly others like me, that my RLS is a mast cell activation problem. I never had RLS until my 60s when I was living in a house that had a hidden pipe leak and hidden mold. So I don't think mine is genetic. But recently as I have learned about MCAS (mast cell activation

allergic reaction to insect bites
Hello, do any of you have a severe reaction to insect bites? I’ve always had a little bit more of a reaction but nothing like this! I recently got bitten, by what I have no idea. This is the top of my foot. They have calmed down a lot but very red. GP not helpful. Antihistamine didn’t help. An ice pack

Does this look like lupus rash?
Hi everyone. I started with a flat purple rash last Tuesday. It’s spread across my stomach and down the front of my thighs. Then a more sporadic raised rash started on shoulders, back, and then my hands and arms on Friday evening. The first marks on upper body looked like I’d scratched the skin. Yesterday

Asthma attack - school says no more rowing
My 14-year-old son had a serious asthma attack post-exercise in school. Paramedics were called and he recovered after receiving nebulizer treatment. Now, he has been told he no longer will be allowed to have a seat in his rowing team, alternatively he is allowed to cox. He is devastated. I am trying

Atarax 25mg...has anyone used it?
It's an antihistamine with sedative effects. My pharmacy suggested it as I sleep very badly and I have hay fever. After checking with my Lupus Specialist it was OK to take with my other meds I also searched online and saw its also used to treat lupus rashes and itchy skin. I'm hoping it might help my

Hypothyroidism
Hello, I haven’t felt like myself for over a year, started with acid reflux, swelling of hands, feet, eyes and cheeks then itchy skin, fatigue, slow movement, low mood. GP agreed to do blood test, nothing came up except high cholesterol. GP prescribed statins for high cholesterol, antihistamine for swelling

Hay fever medicines
I continue to have badly blocked ears and a runny nose for several weeks. I’ve only managed to see paramedics rather than a GP about it. I haven’t used any nasal sprays (other than saline) but would like to try anti-allergy medication such as antihistamine. Yet I’ve read that “A few common stimulating

reaction to rituximab
At the beginning of January I had my first 2 infusions of rituximab - all went well but for the first 6 weeks there was no change with my RA. Then at the beginning of March my feet, hands, elbows and face were covered with blisters - saw the GP who sent me away saying it was a reaction to the rituximab

Stopping Levothyroxine after 17 days?
Just to seek some advice and insights from the knowledgeable forum fellows. I have be subclinical hypothyroid for over ten years (unaware until recently). I had some health issues and a form of extreme fatigue developed between February and March. It was unbearable and I went mental enough to hassle

?? cobalt allergy
We will look into the possibility of using
antihistamines
I do wonder if we were dwelling too much on the Cobalt issue as common sense makes it obvious that there are small challenges from metals all the time.
