Covid19 is starting to remind me of CAPS
Has anyone else seen the resemblance of severe covid19 to catastrophic Antiphospholipid syndrome? High D dimer, pulmonary embolism, kidney and liver failure with high cytokine Storm. Treatments are similar as well. Plasma, monoclonal antibodies, HCQ and now most recent success stories include anticoagulant

Just been diagnosed
Hello all . I’ve just been diagnosed with aps, I’ve been on clopidgroil for past 9 months . My blood has tested twice for lupus anticoagulant and I’ve had a mri scan that shows the remains off blood clot in my brain but never felt anything . Just seen consultant and he’s thinking about changing my medication

Nocturnal Dialysis Problems
Well, I've finally started nocturnal dialysis and much to my chagrin it is not what I thought it would be. It is torture. The first couple of dialysis sessions were only two hours long and were uneventful and went by rather pleasantly. However, I'm now doing twice a week, nocturnal dialysis (6 hours

New to Afib and don't know what to expect....
Just been diagnosed with persistent Afib, and I have been put on beta blockers (started 2 weeks ago), no blood thinners, I have no underlying health problems and the consensus is I have it because I did endurance cycling. I am 54. This is all new to me, I can't really do a lot without getting tired very

How long is long
I had a ct scan of my heart very recently just before COVID , followed by a visit to my cardiologist. I was worried that my afib episodes are getting longer and also less uncomfortable ie “ normalising” The scan showed a ( very) healthy heart and my cardiologist was very reassuring that afib was not

UPDATE!
Hello all, I will be going on
anticoagulants
& Flecanide this week, I am gutted if truth be told! My Cardiologist said that I need to get nearer my ideal weight & if my BP returns to normal & I have no AFib episodes within the next year I can come off Apixaban.

Anticoagulant
Hi. Hope everyone is keeping safe. I would like to know from your experience if taking anticoagulant like Pradaxa or Apixaban will make healing of wounds or ulcers last longer? Have anyone of you experienced this? Thanks.

PACs/Bigeminy after ablation
Had a cryobaloon ablation (PV isolation) in Nov 2019. Seems to have cured my AFIB as I haven't had any episodes in over 3 months. I do however have frequent PACs/bigeminy, confirmed by Holter monitor. EP says they are not harmful. I never had this many pre-ablation so I'm wondering if the PACs are a

Awaiting Diagnosis
Hey guys, I’ve been lurking on this forum for I think almost a month now. I’m 27 years old, female. I went to the doctor in February for a routine blood test and the results came back with raised HB and HCT, HB was 175 and HCT was 50 and also my iron is low. My GP didn’t say much except telling me she
