Any coming back from this?
Two weeks ago, he ended up in the ER due to a suspected infection; none was found but they had to run the full course of
antibiotics
. He’s being discharged tomorrow. He’s been doing better in terms of the pain after radiation. He’s also been okay on most days I’ve seen him.

CT Scan For Cirrhosis?
Luckily it was not complicated and some
antibiotics
got me pretty much at 100% again! My question is this; during my hospital visit, they took bloods and a cat scan. Bloods were normal ast and asl normal etc. Also cat scan just showed the obvious diverticulitis and “diffuse fatty liver”.

IVs rather than oral antibiotics.
Good morning fellow stoics. Is there any one this supportive group who has bronchiectasis and has got to the stage where oral
antibiotics
are no longer effective? In December my Consultant decided I now needed IV ceftazadine at home for two weeks. I am already on nebulised tobramycin.

zero neutraphils
Her neutraphils are very low and not responding to
antibiotics
. So likely not an infection and perhaps caused by ibrutinib. She has been on ibrutinib for 3 years. The blood shows they have not changed. She has been advised to contact her team urgently to find out what is going on.

7 days post Op circumcision
However it looks like 2 stitches have come out prematurely (possibly due to erections during the night) The area is very tender and appears to be oozing, I’ve been given
antibiotics
for infection by the doctors but they didn’t mention restitching or if it would affect the healing process of my wound

autoimmune hearing problems
To confuse the issue I’m also starting
antibiotics
for SIBO & a uti. As I’m sure some of you know you go dizzy with that. I know one thing, it’s rather frustrating as I’ve bought private hearing aids to find I’m still having problems. Any advise would be welcome!

Going down down down
*Treated with daily
antibiotics
intravenous *A little improvement until October 2022 when I was rushed to hospital because my right side was frozen. More

pulsatile tinnitus
A nurse said I had an ear infection but
antibiotics
made no difference. I was quickly sent for an MRA which was clear. I also had an ENT referral which took 18 months. During these 18 months I regularly checked with my GPs if they could help but they just said there was no specific cause.

T4 going too high?
I’ve just finished 6 months of
antibiotics
and I’m finally free of infection, however, my thyroid is seriously playing up. I’m suddenly struggling to take my levothyroxine (75 micrograms) - it’s making me feel over medicated.

6 weeks on and still suffering with chest infections
Diagnosed with a chest infection and prescribed
antibiotics
. 5 days later I developed a horrible pain in my chest stretching down my left side and back. My coughing is still very bad so chest pain was insane!

Cellulitis and ET
She said it’s cellulitis and I’ve got
antibiotics
to take. Surprisingly she said she’d heard of ET, but just knew it was something to do with blood. Anyway apparently I’ve caught it early. She said I’d probably got it because of low immune system, no breaks in the skin.

Chronic pancreatitis
However I went home with
antibiotics
feeling hopeful. 2 days after finishing them I returned to my GP who referred me back to the Emergency department.

Home Oxygen is a game changer
Nothing much else to report other than Covid not seeming to have left any long-term side-effects bar a bit of a chest infection immediately afterwards which was quickly nipped in the bud with
antibiotics

Newly diagnosed, mild Bronchiectasis
I have read a few posts here so far and most people seem to have emergency
antibiotics
. Just wondered if I should have these ? Consultant just said he would advise my gp to give me
antibiotics
immediately if I get any infection. Great to find this group and look forward to learning more.

Got
antibiotics
and slowly recovering. However I have asthma and am a bit wheezy, what are your thoughts on temporary increase in prednisolone. I will be keeping in touch with doctor if symptoms change. Thank you for all the hard work. Ann.

First FDA-approved faecal microbiota pill for preventing recurrent C Difficile infection
The bacterium, which usually lives harmlessly among the other gut flora, may take advantage of gut dysbiosis following a course of
antibiotics
, multiply to infection levels and cause diarrhoea. The infection can be passed to others through the faeces.
