Hi all, I hope you are keeping strong physically and mentally. Just an update to say that baby is healthy and doing well. We found out that we are having a baby girl 🥰🥰🥰. Just a recap of my journey incase you are walking a similar path. We have been trying for 3 - 4 years now. Turns out I had low

AMH & Biotin
Evening all, hope you are well. I’m going for an internal scan and amh blood test tomorrow before our initial consultation at a clinic to hopefully start our journey to baby. I’ve panicked a bit tonight because I take supplements for my thyroid condition and one contains biotin. I know when I have my

BFN 😔 & getting ready for donation
Hi. There is not much to say...obviously, in my case insomnia and sweating in the night was not a good sign. In previous cycle it was also the same. Till some point, sore boobs, bloated tummy, fatigue, feeling sleepy until 6-7dpt...and all of a sudden all symptoms gone, and getting heavy difficulties

NSAIDs Might Exacerbate or Suppress COVID-19 Depending on Timing, Mouse Study Suggests.
( NSAIDs = Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, eg Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Paracetamol ) New research shows that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) reduced both antibody and inflammatory responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection in mice. The study appears this week in the Journal of Virology, a publication

Is fertilisation rate an indicator of quality?
Hi all, I had egg collection yesterday on our second round of IVF, with low AMH, we got 4 eggs, which we were delighted with, and heard this morning that all 4 fertilised! On our first round, 2 out of our 3 eggs fertilised and went on to be poor quality embryos transferred at D3, neither of which took

Update and a couple of links
Been 5 months since I zero'd out after three years starting at 20mg prednisone, still have a few achy days, smaller joints of hands, wrists mostly, some shoulder but some of that is OA and can be handled by NSAIDS and Tylenol for the most part...I recently pulled an upper back muscle which hurt like

IVF suggestions and OHSS prevention
Hey everyone, looks like we will be starting IVF in the spring. It's my first round of IVF. Please share any tips/advice /suggestions you may have. Since my AMH levels are super high due to pcos, i am at risk of developing OHSS which ofcourse means I may need to have a frozen cycle. I really do want

Positive Thyroglobulin Antibodies
I have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism - this came to light as I had been trying to conceive for a year with no luck so went to a fertility clinic who run some tests. I was diagnosed with low AMH and told this was why I hadn’t conceived - I am only 28 so this is very unusual. At first they

Letrozole cycle
Hi 🙋♀️ I’m on day 9 of a letrozole cycle. I’m a nurse and managed to have an extra scan done yesterday at work. Official scan tomorrow at fertility clinic. There were three follicles growing one at 15mm, 13mm and 10mm, this was day 8. How many dominant follicles did people get on their letrozole cycles

Low AMH and diet.
Hi everyone, I just had a follow up call from our consultant after a failed cycle. It was our first attempt. We got 3 eggs but only one survived to transfer. She advised that as I'm only 36 we should try one more round with my own eggs and if that doesn't work then the next step would be donor eggs

IVF clinic recommendations please in London.... please PM me x
I am looking for a recommendation for a good IVF clinic in London please. I’m 33 with a 0.9 AMH , mild endometriosis, I will be funding the treatment myself due to not being accepted for NHS funding. I under this is going to cost around £6k at least so want to make sure my savings are spent at the best

AMH levels reduced after laparoscopy. Has anyone else experienced this ???
I recently had a laparoscopy done as part of my fertility treatment. I had the op on 1st September and was discharged the same day not being told if the op had gone well no feedback. The kind nurse that was looking after me let me sneak a look at the notes from the op. Couldn’t really read the writing

I quit smoking but relapsed after failed cycle
I quit smoking four months ago in order to start IVF. I've been smoking since I was 13, I'm now 35 and over the last year have tried to quit multiple times. Each attemp saw me gain about 10lbs so attempt number 5 had to stick, which it did. Four months for me is amazing. I have low AMH and I was told

Help with next step after being told I have non viable eggs
Hi, we had one round of iui, resulting in miscarriage at 7 weeks, followed by one round of long protocol ivf, one egg collected, made it to 5 day transfer, grade A embryo but resulted in a BFN. I am 41 with an amh of 1. The clinic has said donor egg or adoption are my options going forward. Not sure

IVF Round 3 Changed Protocol - Your Thoughts?
Happy New Year All After my BFN in December (second failed round), I finally had my WTF app with the clinic yesterday. The consultant seems to think that embryo quality is the main reason while my two good quality blasts have not implanted, and didn't see any merit in exploring endometrial issues.

IVF follow up post early miscarriage
Just wanted some advice... I have my review with my clinic tomorrow after our FET which ended in early miscarriage. Sadly this our 3rd early miscarriage (1 from a natural pregnancy, 1 when I was in my early 20s & 1 from FET) and my GP has referred me to the recurrent miscarriage unit. Our 1st cycle
