Hi 🙋‍♀️ I’m on day 9 of a letrozole cycle. I’m a nurse and managed to have an extra scan done yesterday at work. Official scan tomorrow at fertility clinic. There were three follicles growing one at 15mm, 13mm and 10mm, this was day 8.
How many dominant follicles did people get on their letrozole cycles?
Ps I’m on letrozole before my final ivf cycle, two failed ivf cycles. I’ve started supplements and stopped drinking alcohol so wanted to wait at least 3-4 before my final ivf cycle. My issue is age/low AMH. No PCOS. X
Hey! Seems like you’re responding really well. I did 6 rounds of clomid (similar) and would only ever get 1 dominant follicle and it would take longer to appear. I would usually do the trigger shot when my follicle got to 18-20mm. Best of luck! Xx
Had the scan at the clinic today and I’ve got a 19, 15, and 14mm size follicles. So they have all grown. They are now worried about a possible multiple pregnancy! Chance would be a fine thing! I’ve got to go back tomorrow for a repeat scan to see if they are all growing or if just the dominant one is. If they are all growing I bet they say to do the trigger so only one mature egg is released. X
Hi. I got one or two dominant follicles. Mine didn’t get to 18mm til day 16 then I took the trigger shot. Sounds really good. I’ve taken it three times and got pregnant each time. I am 40 with low AMH. Mine have always ended in losses I’m not sure if it’s because I ovulate later in the cycle. I’ve spoken to so many people at clinic who have gone on to have successful pregnancies from it. Good luck xx
Thanks for replying. I’m so sorry for you losses. Are you looking into why you’ve had recurrent miscarriages? I’ve only had 3 eggs collected on each of my ivf cycles. There’s were a few empty follicles each time. I suppose it doesn’t mean these follicles will have eggs in but yes it seems promising that it’s working. X
