Switching from Abi to Enza?
Hi everyone, my father has been taking Abiraterone since 2.5 years now (along with prednisolone 5mg). It has nicely brought down his PSA from 500 to less than 1 and kept it steadily less than 1 since the past one year. He, of course, takes Lupron alongside. However, Abiraterone has resulted in some side

Update on 8/4 post from alperk
To review, after 19 months on Lupron, Zytiga, prednisone, PSA increased on 1/23 to 0.253, then 0.309 on 2/21. Plarify scan showed only one active site in hip which was radiated, 35 grays in 5 fractions. PSA crept back up to 4.2 on 9/6 and scan showed again only one active site in nearly the same location

After APCa treatment ends
A lot of folks will see their APCa treatment come to an end, hopefully due to good PSA levels and scans. But the end of treatment is the beginning of living with no net under you, with periodic checkups and scans, with emotional stress especially since LT SE's may continue, change or crop-up, and last

Now my cancer is now under control, my wife no longer wants to be with me.
I was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer, bladder and pelvis in late 2019. I went straight on Casodex and 2 years of Eligard shots. 9 rounds of Docetaxel, kidney stents and VMAT radiation therapy. Following my last PET scan, no new growth was evident and my PSA has been under 1.0 for the last

Battling!
Looking for some guidance. This group has been really helpful in shedding some light on my health issues. My story - 3 years ago was diagnosed with breast cancer right in the middle of the pandemic. 8 rounds of chemo (got Covid in round 4), surgery and lastly radiotherapy taking me to May 2021. Got

radiation whack-a-mole?
My stage IV prostate cancer has gone castrate resistant ... I've been taking androgen blockers (Eligard injections 90 days plus daily 1gm of abiraterone) for five years. The primary treatment in summer 2018 was external beam radiation. In 2021 I had cyberknife radiation to new lesions in spinal vertebrae

When to introduce ADT after RP failure
I'm progressing well on Triplet Therapy coming up 12 months after Chemo and comparing myself to my brothers situation. He doesn't belong on this advanced prostate group but I hope his cancer does not advance to the point that he does! Diagnoses Biochemical failure following radical prostatectomy

pBAT update after two cycles.
I started BAT using testosterone propianate which requires injections every other day during high T cycle. The beauty of that is fast clearing and slamming the jail cell shut on the beast with darolutamide. My recent PSA came in as 0,05 which is almost at end on my 2nd darolutamide cycle. My Numbers

Hi again, re: Cannabis/THC use for PC
The answers I am getting are more for pain relief. Have there been any studies linking cannabis/THC to curative effects for PC or lowering PSA? Or is it just used for pain relief? Any studies on proven benefits beyond pain relief? Thanks so much. Ran across this study: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc

THC/ Cannabis having Curative Effects for PC???
Ran across this study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7503992/ But is there any proof that THC helps to cure PC or lower PSA? I believe it’s used for pain relief, but are its benefits been proven beyond that? Thank you very much.

ADT for a year?
Had intermediate grade PC no spread, had SBRT. Three months out my Psa is .03. Am on Lupron for the fourth month out of a projected 12 month stint. Do docs ever say, six or nine months is enough? Testosterone at 6 right now.

Preparing for my Urologist Appointment re Increased PSA -- Including possible biopsy questions
I am preparing questions for my upcoming urologist appointment to discuss increased PSA. Any guidance that you veterans of these battles care to give would be appreciated. My total PSA is now 5.2 with 18.5% free. Eight months ago my PSA was 4.4. (21 months before that, 3.9.) An mpMRI six months ago

Switching to Lupron?
I've been on Firmagon for two years. PSA undetectable (<.064), all scans negative. Will switching to a six month Lupron shot cause testosterone flare?
