Preventing Heart Disease When You Have Rheumatoid Arthritis: Which Tests Do You Need?
If you have a blockage, your doctor might put in a coronary stent (which props open a constricted vessel) or perform an
angioplasty
(which involves inflating a tiny balloon that pushes plaque out of the way).

Pins and needles after angioplasty
My partner had
angioplasty
on Tuesday. It failed in his right arm due to the artery collapsing within a few inches. He is still having pins and needles, sensitivity and occasional weakness in his hand/fingers. They went in on left side and my partner says this arms fine.

Newly diagnosed and super confused!
They said his ECG looked like he had had a heart attack and they sent him straight to one of the bigger hospitals for
Angioplasty
to insert a stent. When they did the
angioplasty
, there was no need for the stent - vessels all fine, no collapses, no clots and no blockages.

Stopping clopidogrel
She also reviewed my
angioplasty
and stent procedure video ( she did not perform it as she was locked down in France, so a different cardiac consultant did it) she said it all looked great 😊 and the moderate blockage in my LAD was absolutely fine and only just moderate.

Lad Block - 1 stent fitted with Atrial Flutter also diagnosed
Angioplasty
(1 stent) and Atrial Flutter and how they have got on. I should say that prior to this I have had episodes of fast heart rate for some time and was awaiting to see cardiologist for a definite diagnosis but was overtaken by events.

It's exactly a year since my quadruple heart bypass...what a year!
I'd survived a minor heart attack in the November, had a Cardiac MRI then gone in for an angiogram/
angioplasty
in February, which was halted and that's when I was told to prepare for a CABG x 4.
