Pins and needles after angioplasty

Hi.

My partner had angioplasty on Tuesday.

It failed in his right arm due to the artery collapsing within a few inches.

He is still having pins and needles, sensitivity and occasional weakness in his hand/fingers.

They went in on left side and my partner says this arms fine. No stent was required in the end. Diagnosed pericarditis.

You didn't tell medicines he is on anyways 2-3 weeks every thing will settle body takes time to heal. Relax and feel lucky you don't have to get stent or a load full of medicines with side effects would have caused u a lot of trouble

Your partners body has had invasive surgery so there will be some internal aches and pains as it recovers. All very normal. Should be over in a couple of weeks. Keep a note of symptoms and any aches in the arms and shoulders a paracetamol will work. If persistent talk to GP. Good luck.
