Help with iron panel results please
Hi, I had an iron panel done in July following years of trying to get iron levels up with Ferrous Fumarate, without any luck. Results attached. On consultation with my GP we agreed for me to try a Mirena coil. However leading up to the date for inserting this I freaked about the actual procedure and

Iron Deficiency
My question is… I read a lot about how
anaemia
is common with Lupus. Has anyone been diagnosed with only low ferritin (sitting at a level of 13) and a normal RBC count? Thank you!

ALC is still going up
Well, today I had another CBC. My ALC continues to go up consistently at each 2 week check and I will be seeing my onco at the beginning of Feb. In addition to the rising alc, test shows a few other little changes that i don't fully understand -- my MCV is now reading high (99.50) and my MCHC is low

Brain iron vs Blood iron
Has anyone read that in RLS patients brain iron can be lower than indicated by blood measurements? I read a study out of Quebec about the gene we carry causing a malformation in the brain that makes it harder to uptake the iron.... So blood levels are not accurate in showing brain anemia. My RLS totally

Back to Square One.
So my ESR has gone from 8 to52 and CRP has gone from 6 to 20 since August last blood test. I'm back on 30 mg pred and due more tests. GP hopes that the symptoms I am suffering from including collapsing legs, pain in lower ribs and back plus loss of balance might now improve. Amen to that because I have

Getting older with ss
I'm in my 40's now and I have fewer pain crisis then I had when I was younger. You'd think things would get easier because of this but it isn't. Now I'm dealing with a lot of health problems that sickle cell caused or exacerbated. Like heart problems (which I take meds for), a bad hip (which I had replaced

FAINTS/COLLAPSES WITH HYPOTHYROIDISM?
I have been on levothyroxine since the 1980s, and last year I experienced various fainting issues in 2021 (see bio). I would be grateful for any advice anyone can offer. In August 2022, on the Saturday of the long extreme heatwave I got up at 6.30 much earlier than normal to open all windows and

Fibro & Magnesium Spray.
Evening all. So as I've only been recently been diagnosed with Fibro (although had many symptoms for many years ) and I've been on Pregabalin for a number of years too, I was wondering if anyone else has had much success with using Magnesium Spray?. I did some research and this was something that cropped

Puzzling blood tests
As of this month, I’ve had 13 years of unexplained issues with balance and falls; POTS; weakness; cognition and memory; fatigue; joint pain; skin problems; clumsiness and gait; tinnitus; and male fertility. I’ve had MRI’s, heart checks, endocrine workups, dietary changes, etc that don’t reveal significant
