Thanks for responses back
The 30mg Steroids were for only 6 days I will finish, however I am on7mg / day anyway for ‘another problem, and have been for 18 mths - so getting a good share of steroids - was really missing the Carboistiene/ Azithromycin which help during day + Co- Amoxicillin as must have a ‘flare up’ to be so bad

Lupus?
Hi Eeveryone, I’m new here, I’m 28 years old Russian girl who lives in London. In February I developed mild rush (redness) over cheeks but didn’t pay much attention (it was my ovulation so I thought it’s hormonal). Later in March I had cold symptoms with pain in ribs and low grade temperature. No rush

Kidney Infection
I was diagnosed, finally, with a kidney infection. The antibiotics were completed on Saturday morning. However I still have a lower back pain. It really didn't seem to bad yesterday but today, it does seem to have come back. I was on Co-amoxiclav 500mg for 7 days. Is there a chance that I needed a longer

Off topic - Monday oh WOW
My personal thank you to the NHS. Yesterday I needed help after meds prescribed in the morning for my RA and complications gave me a horrendous reaction. Had amoxicillin over many years when needed, so no qualms in taking it when my local GP said let’s do this for a week to make sure you are safe!

What is meant by an Exacerbation
I have Bronchiectasis. I cough all day & expel thick green mucous. Today, again I was refused antibiotics by my French GP, citing I did not have all the symptoms of an exacerbation, temperature, difficulty breathing, plus he could not hear crackling in my lungs. He said coughing was normal, take honey

Very mild exercises causing exacerbations?
Short Version: Has anyone got exacerbations (from bronchiectasis) after even very mild exercising? (meaning that during the exercise I had no or little breathlessness) (e.g. running for a few minutes or swimming for less than 200 meters) I observe that I had these and wonder if this is common. I feel

Oral steroids post exacerbation
Hi All, Following on from my exacerbation (confirmed LRTI on 18th May) and the completion of the course of amoxicillin, I'm still struggling with SOB, excessive sputum production and coughing, I've been put on a 5-day course of oral steroids. Just wondering if anyone else had been down this route, and

Phlegm- whats normal?
So I'm currently been treated for asthma, still not officially diagnosed. I've had a CT scan that suggested early bronchiectasis but I've since had 2 radiologists and my respiratory consultant disagree with this. Approx 7 weeks ago I had a bacterial chest infection (my 1st ever) that's cleared with amoxicillin

Long term pleurisy cause?
I have a long term pleuritic pain while inhaling in my upper back/under left shoulder blade. It’s Been constant for 12 months and gets worse at times with no obvious trigger . Near constant Breathlessness , feeling like the slightest exercise or even fast walk is exhausting me and top to bottom joint
