Hi you are probably bringing up the nasty stuff, but if it doesn't change to clear or goes darker please get advice from your GP, have a lovely day and stay safe 😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈
If you are only on your third day since starting the antibiotic, they will only just be starting to have some effect. See how things are a few days after finishing the course and, as Bernadette said, contact your GP if you have any concerns then.
Thanks for all your replies
Hopefully you might start to see an improvement as the antibiotics start to work. If it doesn’t change again in the next day or two I would be ringing the GP again.
Get well soon 😊
It won’t hurt to phone the GP they may suggest sending a sample in.

Hi,
No, that green colour indicates you have an infection, you should be on a different antibiotic
with steroids, Go back to your GP and tell him you want a better antibiotic, like Clarithromycin or something similar. Amoxicillin is not a good antibiotic, it's the cheapest and is supposed to be wider ranging, It sounds like you are past that stage. Get to your ;local GP ASAP, once you have a chest infection they are difficult to move.
