My doctor has put me on candasartin at night too I take 24mg at night only as my doctor told me that your blood pressure is higher at night I thought it would be lower at night as your resting while you sleep but no he says that while I'm sleeping my heart has to work harder because I'm laid down strange but true apparently 🙃 and I take amlodapine in the morning when I get up

Thank you for your reply. I should have said that my BP is low normal in the morning and high in evening. I do believe that normally BP is higher in the morning because it is for the reason you gave here, my husband has cardiac problems and he is at the opposite of high in a.m. and lower at night. I sleep only on my back because of the pain in my back it would be normal that my heart has to work more because of the pressure of my chest always on my back , normal low in a.m. and high >130/60 in evening. I had few years ago a 48 hrs, monitor that showed very well how my B.P. goes. It was after this that I accepted to take medication, medication helps a bit but I am still considered as high BP. My gp. prescribed me diuretics and I hated it I became completely incontinent to the point of wearing protective all the time. I stopped taking them if it shortened my life, so be it I made it to here .
I sympathise with your bad back i need surgery on my back due to 3 herniated discs but I keep getting different excuses I think its down to my blood group AB Negative. I tend to sleep curled up and that helps a lot. did your doctor give you furosemide I was on those for less than a week they are a night mare I've never needed to pass water so much in my life I binned them. Hope you get well soon
