Coming off Amitriptyline for Migraine Relief...there is hope!!
I've been from self-medicating, to prescription preventatives and Triptans for relief and eventually ended up on
Amitriptyline
, with my maximum dose being 50mg each evening.

Hereditary Neuropathy
I take pregabelin two times per day and
amitriptyline
at night. Some nights it is almost unbearable with my legs tinkling with a burning sensation and the same in my arms. I can't seem to find out what the future prognosis is. I know there is no cure. Will it affect the organs eventually?

First post - bit of a hello and a bit of a ramble!
I am on
amitriptyline
for pain relief, maximum dose of cocodamol and diclofenac 3 times a day. So after this long winded ramble, I wonder if anyone has any advice to get my point across or to make sure something actually happens.

Cervicogenic Headaches/Migraine
I have had
amitriptyline
, propananol and topamax none of which eased the headaches but just gave me awful side effects. I was prescribed sumitriptan for pain relief and it's the only thing that relieves the headaches but I am becoming more and more reliant on them.

Palpitation, joint aches, pulse like noises in my ears!
I also take 20mg propranolol twice a day, vitamin d 800 each morning, 10mg
amitriptyline
in evening and rivaroxaban 20mg at 6pm. I take my thyroxine at 11.00pm each night away from all other meds. I had a TT last June. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Newbie to this Form: Help Please?
I have pretty dire sensitivities to pain killers, which is why I'm looking for help to control the spine spasms: Off the top of my head, I'm allergic to Co-codamol and most morphine based painkillers;
Amitriptyline
makes me feel suicidal; I had a relatively good antidepressant (Lofepramine) which helped

Coming off Amitriptyline!
Hi everyone, I posted last week about the awful headaches and severe nausea I was experiencing as I stupidly stopped taking
Amitriptyline
cold turkey. I cannot get a doctor's appointment for 3 weeks so I am desperate for some advise.

Introduction... Possible Anxiety
Currently on Omeprazole and
Amitriptyline
Hydrochloride. My main question is, has anyone gone through something similar and what was the outcome? I don't see my accident as traumatic but everyone else is saying it is.

New to this...
RLS is mainly at night and causes very broken sleep, have tried lots of medication.... gabapentin, tramadol,
amitriptyline
but suffer horrendous side effects! co-codamol helps but I hate the 'hangover type feeling'.

I've been on a low dose of
amitriptyline
for a few weeks, ive noticed the last couple days a slight shake in my hands when testing etc, I've read that it's a Common side affect in certain antidepressants like

Ouch!
I don't think the
Amitriptyline
is working anymore, so will need to pay a visit to my GP. On the upside, I get to spend today with my gorgeous 4 year old grandson Kurt, he makes me laugh, and that's a medicine in itself. Lots of love to my fibro friends, have a good day x

Just wondering......
It has been suggested ( by osteopath and a counsellor ) that perhaps I could try some medication for the nerves - e.g
amitriptyline
, nortriptyline or duloxetine.
