Pills and pain
Hi, I am on 200mg (yep 200) of Amitriptyline. I'm on quite a lot other pills. Sometimes you can go onto a medication which contra-interact with another meds might be the problem. It can sometime be that it's one or the other... try taking one away and see if it reduces the problem. Also ask for a different

Your thoughts on amitriptyline, if you have already been prescribed this medication
I have seen numerous comments and sites suggesting that amitriptyline is good for not just depression, but also for pain/nerve pain and or relating to ibs pain. I've only ever taken citalopram 10mg which has not done much for my ibs pain and thinking about switching to amitriptyline. Has anyone had any

Endo Pain
My pain is horrendous - severe daily pain. I honestly don’t even know how I function I am awaiting my third laparoscopic excision surgery and the consultant said regular surgery may need to happen. Also being tested for PCOS as a recent ultra sound showed signs of that I am currently being weaned off

No levo: feeling much better. What is going on?
I am hypothyroid with Hashimoto's. I stopped taking 100mcg levothyroxine for a week in preparation for taking thyrogold. I felt much better not taking it (the levo.) I started taking thyrogold about a week ago - 150mcg was ok for a few days and had mountains of energy (but felt very hot) but by Wednesday

NHS won’t carry out hip surgery
For about 5 years I have struggled getting my sock and boots on, over time I found it increasingly difficult getting in and out of my Van (Transit Custom van) for my work but I carried on thinking it was just stiffness, over time little things like going to a concert and standing for a length of time

Can't sleep without alcohol. Any suggestions? Need help
I'm going through a tough time. Recently lost my new job after just 3 months. Wasn't what I had hoped. Been struggling with mostly anxiety for the past several years. Some depression. Also I think I will have to break up with my girlfriend, to take a job in another state (she won't move, has stated she

ECT
Had my twelfth ECT yday. Doc said sometimes the effects come on over time .... 🤔 and she wants me to come weekly. I dunno that I feel any different, if anything I fell into deep depressions after treatments. Also the ketamine has made my head feel funny, even today.

Antidepressants?
Hi there, I'm a new member who just joined a week ago and have been reading through the posts which are quite informing. Ive been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and to say it's robbed me of my life is a bit of an understatement :( I'm a 37 year old with 2 teens but I'm unable to do the school run anymore

Migraine for 3 weeks and counting
I’m having an absolute nightmare at the moment. I had a migraine on the 17th December and it hasn’t gone since. Some days it reduces itself into a general headache and other days it’s developed into a hemiplegic migraine. I’ve given up alcohol in case that is a trigger and I don’t drink caffeine or eat

Do I Have IBS?
I have the symptoms of IBS, but I've never been diagnosed. I have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder, and I've been reading about amitriptyline as a medicine that will treat both. I'm looking for something that will treat IBS and MDD, as the meds I take for MDD just keep me barely going.

Infection or not..? circumcision
Hi i was suffering from phimosis. So I went for circumcision. But I am little bit worried about infection and my current situation. So can anyone please help. I think back side of my panis is infected (I am not doctor but due to yellow part I assumed). And I think my stichies are not properly healing

Last treatment?
On my way to what I hope will be my last treatment with ketamine and ECT. Spoke with my psychologist yday and his advice was to make clear that I have been feeling suicidal since starting ECT. I’ll update y’all later.

When tapering Pred which other meds should taper?
My mum (recovering from GCA) is currently tapering from a 60mg dose of Pred - 10mg reduction every 2 weeks, it will be down to 30mg on Sunday but nobody has advised us to reduce any of the other 10 different types of medication that she is on, including a high dose of Omeprazole - 40mg per day. Should I go on?
Hi. I just finished a second week of ECT treatments & am truly wondering whether it’s worth continuing. The doc said it can feel worse before it feels better — esp bc he added ketamine to the mix — but I don’t know how much more I can take. I cry all day every day when I get home. My husband wants me
