Clitrodynia help

I have very similar symptoms. Pulling in lower pelvic tummy area. Symptoms of uti. Burning clit. Told it was vulvodynua. Put on 10mg of amitriptyline. Went for a smear on Monday and it's Wed and I'm thro the roof with pain can anyone help

Go back to the doctor who diagnosed vulvodynia and ask to increase the amitriptyline. I needed 50mg to get pain relief from it for vulvodynia, currently take 25mg. 10mg is a low dose. And try to remember it will improve. Good luck

ive just rang docotrs and she is increasing my 25 g doe to 50 as im in so much pain

Hi thereThat sounds like a good idea, and in time you might find that you can gradually decrease the dose again. It is a difficult thing to live with, especially as people don't understand how painful it can be. I'm in the middle of a flare up myself at the moment and trying to stay positive but not always easy. Wish you well

You too. Thankfully I'm working from home today . Doctor said take ibuprofen as it can help reduce swelling. Tomorrow at work fingers crossed were both better soon x
