I feel a bit left to my own devices but I'm not worried
Started pred 15mg on 23rd April, stayed on this for 6 weeks (a bit longer than I was advised by GP but I had a fall) then went to 12.5mg for about 6 weeks, now on 11mg since 3 dys ago ( my own dosage because I was scared to drop from 12.5 to 10). Feel ok at the moment. I had a phone appt with rheumy

Joint Pain from Prostap
I've got stage 4 endometriosis and a large ovarian cyst that I had diagnosed in June 2019 and waiting to hopefully have surgery this month. To help manage the pain, I have to inject prostap every 10wks since Dec 2019 and since the last injection, I have had very sore knee joints which feels unusual

Zoledronic acid infusion - side effects sound horrendous. Any advice?
Hi folks, My osteoporosis consultant has recommended an intravenous infusion of Zolendronic acid, as I can't stomach the Alendronic acid tablets. My last DEXA scan was January 2019 - the numbers I can't remember but they were at a low level yet not low enough for treatment. Consultant says they are

I've lost all hope.
I am so fed up and at the end of my rope. I have been trying to get treatment for over five years now. There have been several GPs (due to the first one leaving the practice and Covid necessitating using who you are given). There have been several gynaecologists and scans. I get told one thing and

Kill Breast Cancer cells and their secondary peeps ! Omega 3 is important. Omega 3 consists of DHA/EPA. Read On.
I'm on Ibrance/Faslodex. For 6 months. Besides my Onc, I do have an integrative holistic onc. I'm ER/PR positive/Her2 Negative. All of us should be taking Omega 3, however, part of that mix is a combination of DHA/ EPA. In my particular case, DHA is huge. She suggested I amp up DHA/ I ordered this

Bisphosphonate success?
I am in desperate need of some positivity and success stories regarding the use of bisphophonates, particularly the once a week for 2-3 years regimen, and then hopefully a drug holiday. The word I see most often on this site is "terrified", as I also am, by other readers considering the prospect of

What dosage of calcium supplement is recommended when on prednisolone?
I'm on 7.5mg of prednisolone. At my rheumatologists appointment today I advised him that I wouldn't be taking up his recommendation of Alendronic Acid despite having a very small amount of osteoporosis in my lower lumber region. I advised him that I was taking Caltrate which has 600mg calcium/200 IU

Fatigue--Side effects of Ursodiol?
Hi I am new to this forum and grateful that it exists. I have just been diagnosed with PBC (early stage) and was put on Ursodiol. I am 62 and otherwise really healthy and fit. Yet at this point. I am really struggling with fatigue (and occasional dizzy spells) and wondering if anybody else experienced

PD and Depression
My mama has had PD for over 15 years and a fall a few years ago , with a C2 fracture put her on bed . The thing is that the doctors gave up on her. She had a nasal tube for 4 months which messed up her swallowing and hence her speech . I remember even after the accident in the hospital she was talking

Bone medication
I have been taking Ibandronic acid for a few years now for brittle bones due to years of Lupus meds. Recently my new dentist made a point of saying that they look out for it on people’s records as it causes teeth and jaw problems!! My friend just had the same reaction from her dentist. What’s going

This landmark finding is rooted in data pulled and analyzed from the Framingham study, one of the longest running studies in

Alendronic Acid and migraines
Has anyone had migraines associated with alendronic acid? I took AA for 3 weeks and then stopped (with GP blessing - see other posts). I was diagnosed with ocular migraines about 3 years ago and had a very occasional one. They are migraines with an aura and all the associated blind spots and weird visual
