Dizziness
Lately I’ve been suffering from dizziness sharp pains in the head. I stopped taking bumetanide a week ago to see if the problem subsided and it has slightly. Told my doctor he sent me for blood tests and all came back clear but he has not contacted me. Does anyone else suffer from this..

I dont know where to post now!
I've had latest blood test results yesterday. All results slightly worse that is heart function, kidney function, thyroid function, and diabetes which I've just received the honorable label for! So this is now going to be a full time job. The first action has been to reduce my bumetanide to see if the

I have been more mobile and doing some exercise so struggling to see what is going wrong. I lost 5.5 stone six years ago and was pretty fit swimming 50+ lengths 4-5 times

Permanent AF
Hey I was diagnosed with heart failure in January and ended up in hospital. I was told to exercise and left hospital on bumetanide, bisoprolol and lisinoprol. I had been on digoxin in hospital but came off before leaving. Over a few weeks O began to feel better and got some confidence back and started

Amniodorone
I am taking .. Fostair inhaler, losartan potassium, bumetanide, amniodorone , warfarin. Since starting the amniodorone, prescribed by a registrar in my GPs, I have had swollen feet. It was given to bring my blood pressure down. Would it be o.k. to cut the dosage in half and see if that helps. I don't

Health Service in Goa - India
I have permanent AF for 10 years but one of the very lucky ones with no symptoms whatsoever. Whilst on holiday in Goa on Sunday 2 February my heart rate dropped below 40 - my Watch BP machine does not register a heart rate below 40. If I had not taken the machine I would never have known because I had

Early Retirement from Work.
Morning Everyone. I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia/chronic pain syndrome. It has taken 4 years to get to this point as I also have spinal degeneration in my neck and lower back which was clouding the symptoms of the fibromyalgia. I had a spinal fusion on C4 C5 & C6 C7 last August but

Fluid retention.
Has anyone experienced resistance to diuretics? My furusamide stopped working and I'm now on bumetanide which is better but I still feel bloated and my weight is not moving up or down. I've increased my intake of fluids advised by h.f. nurses. Any tips would be appreciated.

What is Nebivolol like?
I'm back again following a medical MOT. I failed but not miserably! My heart is weaker but that's to be expected I expect! The good news I think is that I've been taken off bisoprolol completely and I take the complete dose of Nebivolol at night (7.5) I had a good night's sleep broken only by Maverick

Alcohol and stopping due to HF
My husband has been a drinker averaging 6 cans a night for around 40 years. In Aug 2019 he found himself in hospital with swelling up to his abdomen and extreme coughing and breathlessness. As he hadn't visited a gp for 25 years , you can imagine this was a huge shock. Basically his diagnosis was heart

Diuretic alternative?
As many of you know the Bumetanide that I take is really life limiting for me, meaning that every third day or second day (I have cut back from every day) I have to be very near a personal toilet for 7-8 hours. I can't even make phone calls or have visitors in the first 5 hours due to the amount of times

Carbimazole, loop diuretic and extreme insomnia
My mum is 89 and has copd, heart failure and hyperthyroidism. In the last five months she has been to hospital four times. She's hardly slept in that time. Only on a few nights has she had more than two hours sleep. She recently had her carbimazole raised from 10 to 15 mg per day as her hormones were

My doctor ask me to monitor my blood pressure with a new Med he prescribed since my pressure was very high every day. I’m already on two other meds and this took the place of Amiloride. Bumetanide
My husband has been prescribed Bumetanide for water retention, because he stored the water around his middle but not his legs, however he has been feeling washed out since taking. Has anyone else had this reaction to this medication.

Furusemide v bumetanide!
I hope I've spelt it right! I wonder what the difference is. My husband was on furusemide for years but was switched to bumetanide after kidney failure. Is there a reason we all seem to be on furusemide? I hope it's not just a cost issue. I'm struggling with fluid retention at present though on 120g

This has left me with LSHF. I have been given 40mg furosemide and 5mg Amiloride the furosemide to be increased to 80mg if needed. Although this has improved the outcome I am still quite breathless. do I accept this or pursue things further? I have to return to my EP on 22nd of March or cancel if I
